I had gotten better at walking on crutches and I was back at school and sat with the boys at lunch. We were talking when Cheryl Blossom walked over.

"You're all invited to Jason's memorial. Even you Lil Lodge/Andrews." Cheryl said handing us black invites. I smiled at her.

"Don't be late." Cheryl said.

"Bail, Archie and Reggie are competing for Captain." Dylan said.

"Well I wish you good luck." I said eating a fry. Reggie kissed my cheek and put his arm around my shoulder.

"COD tonight?" Callum asked.

"Yeah/ Sure/ Yes." We all replied. After school Jade picked me up.

"How was school baby sister?" Jade asked.

"You know how I feel about school but I didn't get in trouble which was good." I said. Jade laughed.

"Veronica is spending the night at Cheryl Blossom's." Jade said.

"That's why Veronica chased after Cheryl earlier." I said.

"Thornhill is like the most haunted house in Riverdale. I wish Veronica good luck." Jade said. We went home to the Pembrooke. Jade joined in with us playing Call of Duty. Mom walked in at Midnight.

"You two turn that off. Bailey have you done your homework?" Mom asked.

"Yeah all done." I said. Jade went to her room for when she stayed over and I turned off the PlayStation. I fell asleep. When I got up I got dressed and ready for Jason's memorial.

I walked into the living room and Mom and Jade looked at me.

"Isn't that Veronica's dress?" Jade asked.

"That's what I was wondering." Mom said.

"I asked her and she said I could lend it." I said. Smithers drove us to Thornhill.

"Penelope, I just want to offer my condolences." Mom said.

"Hermione, that's so kind." Mrs Blossom said.

"Come on. I'll keep an eye on you and your friends." Jade said.

"Our brother is over there and Veronica will probably sit in front of them." I said. I sat with the boys and Jade. Veronica walked in and sat in front of Archie. We heard muttering and turned around to see Cheryl in the white dress from July 4th.

"Welcome to Thornhill. Thank you all for coming. If you'll kindly take your seats. I'd like to start the memorial with a few words about Jason. The last time I saw Jason, I was wearing this dress. I know it's impossible. But I swear, when I put it on, it... It feels like he's in the room with me. Even though we were twins, I used to demand I have my own birthday party. Until one year, out of the blue, Jason convinced me we had to combine them into one. It wasn't until years later, I found out why. It was because no one wanted to come to mine. And Jason didn't want me to know. He protected me. Every single day. I wish, that day at the river, I had protected him. [Sobbing] I'm so sorry, Jay-Jay. We failed you. All of us." Cheryl sobbed. Veronica got up to comfort her.
