Chapter 3: Protect

08:47, Somewhere in the middle of the ocean....

"Scouts, report in!"

"Nothing yet ma'am, there's evidence of a battle but...no Titans."

"Alright, pull back. I'll send in a squad to gather info from one of the civilian survivors."

The general sighed while Mr Zeta simply chuckled in the background.

"Do you think this is funny?"

"Of course I do. That's my creation you're looking for and you can't find him even when you have a lead and evidence to help you. I'm sure even a monkey could've figured it out by now, it's that simple."

"If you're so much smarter then me then why don't you explain what I'm doing wrong Mr Site Director?"

"Better to let monkeys beat sticks to together then to let them realise that what they're doing is pointless."

The general was about to stand up, but was interrupted when the radio came on once again.

"General Sarah, we have important info!"

"What's going on, spill it now!"

"According to multiple survivors, Godzilla has carried MSF-3 away into the ocean. The reason is unknown."

"What?! Damn it! Give me the exact Coordinates of Titanus Gojira Immediately!"

Many began tapping away at their keyboards, bringing up a giant holographic version of the earth, showing off all the locations of every Titan.

"Titanus Gojira's location is at... 0.7893° South, 113.9213° East! Near Indonesia, Specific location is...Infant Island!"

"Stupid robot, all forces I want you to return to base. If we're gonna take back that robot, we're gonna have to do it by force. Especially now that Godzilla has taken it."

General Sarah looked back to Mr Zeta, he was on the phone with an unreadable look on his face.

"Mr Zeta?"

"Hmmm?" He responded.

"Who were you just talking to?"

"Classified Information."

"I don't think you realise the position you're in, Doctor Zeta. Tell me now-"

"I don't think you realise who you are talking to, Sarah. I've seen and done many things that some would consider insane and unethical, things that would blow your small Goverment brains and turn them into paste. Did you really think that the Titans were the only things you didn't know about?"

Zeta laughed hysterically, making the General's blood boil, before going back to his calm dead demeanour.

"I can assure you, there's a lot that our company would prefer to keep under wraps, the Titans awakening was a simple oversight on our part but it won't happen again. I still have yet to convince my... creations that letting the robot run free for a while is the best choice, at least until it learns how to survive and fight."

"Alright, and what do we do once something else tries to attack the machine, what do we do then Zeta?!"

"We do what we're meant to do..."

"We take it back, by force."

Kiryu sat there on the beach, bored out of his mind. Godzilla had placed him there and told him he would be back. It's been an hour since then, and Kiryu was getting restless.
