1 Day after Kiryu's capture...

The entire fleet that the general had amassed was essentially wiped out, barely any Jets made it out and the pilots ended up dying along with them. They had only managed to secure MFS-3 by the skin of their teeth and had to use everything in their arsenal just to keep Godzilla away. The rainstorm wasn't helping either, only reminding the General of her failure to bring everyone back alive.

The General looked over at the unconscious Kiryu on the deck of the ship, held down by chains with EMPs ready to go off the moment he woke up. She sighed and her stare turned into a hateful scowl.

"You weren't worth that... All of those men died because of you. If you just didn't resist, maybe they'd still be alive to tell the tale."

"It was his survival against yours." A voice came from behind her, revealing himself to be Zeta.

"What do you mean now Zeta? I'm getting tired of these weird riddles you keep giving me." General Sarah said tiredly, she'd been working all night just to make sure everyone was safe.

"It's not a riddle, General. You heard him say it, did you not? He wanted a life of his own, he wanted to be his own person."

Sarah was about to yell, but gave up and put her head in her arms, sighing once again.

"Just... What did you want to see me for?"

"Ah yes. I'd like to request permission to talk with K-... I mean MFS-3."

"...You what?"

"It is my duty as well as my assignment to figure out why MFS-3 went rogue. Speaking with the source directly may provide useful intel."

"Listen... I'll think about it okay? I'm extremely tired right now so just..."

"If you're worried about MFS-3 running rampant, that would result in human causalities. Doing so would go against his programming."

"Yeah, yeah I know I got briefed on it a thousand times. Just... go hang out in the corner like you usually do until we get there in about an hour."

"Where are we going, exactly?"

"Hong Kong."

RUMBLE

The sudden shaking of the ship knocked Sarah off her feet, she pulled herself up on the railing and looked out on the deck again, with MFS-3's eyes flickering yellow.

MFS-3 was waking up, even despite the EMPS.

Alarms began to blare off, warning the entire ship of what was happening. Zeta and Sarah ran as fast as they could to the control terminal, where scientists were already, trying to figure out how to stop the awakening.

"Ma'am, we're trying our best but MFS-3 seems almost determined to wake up! We've set off most of the EMPs but they've done nothing!"

"What?! How? Those were lodged into him! God damnit... Zeta!" Sarah called out.

"Yes, Sarah?" Zeta responded.

"You said you wanted to speak to the bloody thing, go keep it occupied while we find a way to turn it off!"

Zeta, grabbing his keycard from his pocket, nodded before leaving the room to head for the deck.

Maybe now was the time to break the ice explain some things...

Meanwhile, back on Infant Island.

Tsuchigumo lay on the grass outside the temple, she was given strict orders not to move by the King himself, so of course she was going to comply, but it didn't stop her guilt.
