It had been almost 2 hours.

Two long, excruciatingly painful hours... And Kiryu still hadn't managed to pick himself off the floor. At the rate he was going, it would be the next day before he made any leeway.

Kiryu laid down on the floor and sighed in irritation, laying his arms at his sides. He considered just waiting until his power ran out, but since he wasn't moving it could be weeks before his meter reached even 45%. He crawled along the surface and gripped the wall, pulling himself up and using his tail to keep himself steady. His leg was shaking with extreme force but Kiryu held onto the wall with an iron grip.

Kiryu looked down at his leg and sighed before sliding down the wall, sitting down with a large audible thunk.

He then decided enough was enough and opened the plating around his leg, upon doing so, the damage caused by Kong's axe became very apparent. While some of the wires had been welded back into place by the humans before, it was clear the job was not finished. Kiryu thought about ways he could fix it himself before ejecting a dorsal drone from his back.

"This is gonna hurt, isn't it... Oh well."

Kiryu then ripped a rock out of the wall and put it between his teeth to help him endure the pain before turning on the laser, Kiryu roared into the rock as he focused on making sure the laser had fully welded the metal back together. The rock in his mouth began to crack more and more as he continued. His leg began to glow bright orange from the heat, adding to the pain. The rock then broke, letting out Kiryu's roar of agony for all to hear until he finally finished, breathing heavily as the drone flew back into his back. He breathed a sigh of relief and leaned his head back, pumping his fist in the air as a sign of victory.

Kiryu looked down at his still orange leg, he thought about charging the Absolute Zero Cannon and firing it at his leg to remove the heat, but it would be a waste of energy, so he thought against it. Still, with his leg not having a hole in it anymore, walking should be significantly easier...Hopefully. Instead of thinking about the eventuality, he stared up... And noticed a bunch of glowing eyes staring back at him. He was starting to get flashbacks of his time with Tsuchi.

The creatures above him looked to be Bat-Bird hybrids, hanging up on the ceiling like a cocoon. Kiryu must have woken them up with his incoherent, agonized screams.

Kiryu waved at them, really unnerved by their unmoving eyes before looking back down at his leg.

*Still too hot... Well, at least I'll be able to somewhat walk around tomorrow...Hopefully.*

The stone door suddenly swung open and Kong stepped into his home, carrying two giant fish. He set the fish down and turned to Kiryu.

"How is your Training going?" Kong signalled with slight concern as he noticed Kiryu's glowing leg.

"Well after two hours of falling flat on my face, I managed to fix the welding on my leg. I should be able to at least walk around once it cools down." Kiryu signalled back, he stared in curiosity as Kong grabbed his axe, a giant stone and two giant trees. He then scraped the axe along the metal, causing sparks to fly off and ignite the wood.
He then grabbed the other tree and speared the fish onto it and stuck it into the ground over the flames.

"Food will be ready soon, have you had fish before?"

"Well, unfortunately, I don't think I can eat that. I run on radiation fuel sources which mainly come from power plants."

"The fish have significant radiation signatures, Sir. It would be wise to consider them a fuel source." Echo said suddenly, shocking Kiryu.

"Wait, YOU'RE AWAKE?!"
