A small boating ship sat floating in the foggy pale blue ocean, stranded above the coral reefs. On its deck were two men, A father and his son, working to repair the ship's broken engine which had combusted into flames due to a pulse from the Meteor.

However, despite working tirelessly, the engine refused to turn on, making hisses as the last of its energy was drained.
"Bah, it's no good Dad. Thing is busted." The son exasperated, dropping the wrench he was holding to the deck. The fog swirled around him as smoke from the machine bellowed, forcing him to back away.

"Have ye hit it like the TV back home?" The dad called out in a slightly slurred voice, a bottle of whisky in his hand and a fishing rod in the other.

"I'm pretty sure that'd break it even more- DAD!"

"Wha?"

The son rushed to his father and grabbed the bottle out of his hand, a frustrated look on his face.

"I thought you said you quit drinking!"

"Oh c'mon sonny! It's not like the stuff can kill me or anything. I just wanted to celebrate seeing my son again after so long! You don't fly to Cebu very often!"

The son put his fingers to his temples, trying to reduce the migraine he had just received. His father has always had a drinking problem, but to think he wouldn't even be able to put down the bottle for at least a few weeks worried him heavily.
"Jeez, pops. It's a miracle you aren't dead yet...I hope you realise I'm telling Mum about this."

"Aw come on! Ye know how ruthless she can be, it was just the one time!"

"She seems to be the only one who can get you to stop."

"Aw come on lemme just finish the bottle!" The father begged, trying to grab it out of his son's hands.

"Dad, you need to stop. I'm being serious here!"

"Just...One more sip."

The two were practically wrestling for the bottle now, the son pushing his father's hands away looked behind him and sighed.

"Grrr, This isn't good for the environment but..." The son gripped the bottle tightly before throwing it into the ocean, crashing down with a tiny splash.

"NOOO! Aw come on, that's just a waste'a Money!"

"If I have to waste money to make sure you don't die, then I'll do it until you finally learn to stop-"

Both men paused.

The water around them glowed cyan, pulsing with energy that coloured the fog light blue.

"S-S-Sonny? What was that?"

"...I-I..."

It felt like they were there for hours, until a huge wave crashed against the hull knocking both humans off balance, in the fog, they could see a silhouette slowly growing above them, looming like a sentient mountain...
