Chapter 5: Surrounded

Objective: Defeat Titanus Tsuchigumo.

THUD

Kiryu climbed the edge of the cave walls, sinking his now dulled claws into the rocks as he heard the fighting above him. Although Kiryu was confident that Anguirus wouldn't lose, he still didn't know the full extent of the Broodmothers power, he had to help if he wanted to be sure.

The sounds of flying Acid and trees being pulled out of the ground kept Kiryu going, acting as his motivation to continue. He observed his HUD once he was almost at the top for a potential plan to help in the fight, but all that came out was garbage noise, hurting his ears.

"OW!... Gotta learn my lesson with that HUD. Just doesn't work anymore..."

Kiryu however, was able to make out one thing in the static, his power meter was at about 67%. Running the calculations in his head, he'd have about 36% after the battle is over. He'd have to resupply in radiation before attempting to leave the island if he wanted to make it far.

Shaking his head, Kiryu took the final reach around and placed his hand on the rim of the hole.

*Can't think of any of that now. Just gotta focus.*

Kiryu rolled on his side and looked over at the fight that was ensuing.
Both Anguirus and the Broodmother were bloody from the fight, with the Broodmothers blood being noticeably greener than Anguirus's.

Kiryu stood up and roared, getting the attention of both Titans.

"Machine! Help me take her down, Quickly!" Anguirus barked, making Kiryu lower his eyebrows.

"Wait...Darling? Go back down the hole~ Your partner has work to do."

Kiryu then gritted his teeth, before he scaled the hole, when he was talking with Anguirus and when he was talking with Godzilla... They all called him 'Machine' or treated him like an Object. Something to be passed around, Something for people to use to their own benefit... It really irritated him.

"MACHINE! Do you hear me? I said help me take her down!"

"DARLING! Go back down the hole!"

"Shut up..." Kiryu whispered, placing his hands over his head.

"What the... Now is not the time for crying! Get up and help you good for nothing construct!" Anguirus yelled.

*Crying?... Good for nothing?... Construct?...*

"Don't talk about my Darling like that you filthy Mongrel! You're scaring him!" The Broodmother screeched.

"Shut up." Kiryu said.

"...What? What did you just say-"

"Shut up! I'm not your godamn toy, I'm not your mate and I'm certainly not your stupid partner! I'm sick of people thinking I'm some sort of thing, some sort of object that you can just pass around and use. Not anymore, never again! I refuse to be a puppet just to do your bidding!"

Kiryu's eyes flickered slightly, showing a slightly more orange tint.

"In fact... You all have been treating me like this since I got here! Calling me a 'Machine' or claiming ownership over me without my say-so..."
