A few weeks later I was coming back from an away game and I arrived at the airport. I just wanted to get off the plane and go home. I had been gone more than I was home the last 2 weeks so I knew once I got off the plane and grabbed a cab home I just wanted to spend time with Posey and call Chris. As I walked towards baggage claim I was exhausted.
"Mama!!!" I heard a little voice yell as I got off the escalator and I was attacked around the legs and I looked to see Posey. I smiled and picked her up.
"Baby girl!" I said excited as we hugged. I looked at saw Connor standing there smiling and I walked up and hugged him.
"Hey." I said as I hugged my dad but Maisie wasn't letting go so it was like a group hug.
"Welcome home." Connor said and I smiled.
"Thank you. Away games suck." I said and as we went to get my suitcase as I was standing at baggage claim I went to join some of the other girls I saw that I knew would want to see Posey. Once my bag came through I got it and we went home. As we pulled up to the house I saw someone sitting on the porch and smiled.
"Did you know he was stopping by?" Connor asked and I shook my head but I didn't care at this point.
"Should I take Posey to my place?" Connor asked and I shook my head again.
"It's time he met her and maybe spend some time with her." I said and Connor nodded.
"Well I will let you all have time." Connor said as we got out of the car and I got Posey from the back and then my suitcase as Connor waved at Chris, got in his own car and drove off. Chris met me when I got to the porch and I smiled.
"This is unexpected." I said and he smiled with a shrug.
"I wanted to see you but I'm sorry I didn't think about Posey." Chris said and I shook my head.
"We have been on a couple dates, I think it's time we all spend time together." I said and Chris smiled. He took my suitcase as we headed up to the front door. I unlocked it and I look at Posey.
"Go inside." I said and she ran inside. I looked at Chris and smiled.
"Can I get a proper welcome home now?" I asked and Chris chuckled but leaned in and gave me a passionate kiss. I moaned as he grabbed my hips and pulled me against his body. My fingers hooks in his belt loops not wanting to let him go, loving the feeling of being against him. Chris groaned when I wouldn't let him out of the kiss.
"Maisie, Posey is watching from the window." Chris said our lips barely parting and I looked at the front window and he was right, there was Posey smiling. I shook my head.
"She has never really seen me in a relationship, so this is all new to her." I said to Chris as she ran away from the window.
"She never saw you with her dad?" Chris asked and I huffed a laugh.
"That would mean he was around 2 minutes once we found out she was a girl." I said and Chris looked confused.
"We could never tell what she was going to be the whole time I was pregnant, she never let us see during ultrasounds. He was convinced she was a boy so when she was born and was a girl he left the hospital and didn't come back." I said and Chris growled.
"Such an ass." Chris said and I nodded.
"Right so it's just been me and her. My dad and uncles are great male role models for her thankfully. I mean they raised me..." I said and Chris smiled.
"You did turn out pretty amazing." Chris said and moved his face back towards mine and gently kissed me again. I smiled in our kiss.
"We better get inside before she destroys my house." I said and Chris laughed as I released my hold on his belt loops and he released his hold on me. We walked inside and Posey was sitting playing with some barbies.
"Hey kiddo." I said and she smiled.
"Is it okay if Chris hangs out with us today?" I asked Posey and she smiled.
"Yeah!" She said excited and jumped up.
"Can we go to the jump park?" Posey asked and I sighed.
"I suppose..." I said in a funny tone and Posey started jumping up and down.
"You don't mind us taking my car do you since I have her seat?" I asked and Chris shook his head.
"Also, sorry she wants to do something so public..." I said and Chris shook his head again.
"Maisie, I don't care. I want to do what Posey wants to do." Chris said and I smiled and kissed his cheek.
"Let's get your shoes on young lady." I said and I grabbed her shoes and we all left the house.

We had been at the trampoline park for a while and Chris wasn't even noticed, not once and I knew he was excited and relieved.
"I had no clue about this place. I need to bring my niece and nephews sometime." Chris said and I nodded.
"When it starts getting chilly outside like it is now, I bring her here." I said and Chris smiled.
"Well except the one time I took her to the stadium while I rehearsed and she ran the entire football field with the team during drills, they wore off a lot of her energy." I said and Chris laughed.
"So the team is cool with her being around?" Chris asked and I nodded.
"The cheerleaders love her being there, she is our little junior cheerleader and the team thinks she is great. Most of those guys are married with kids any way so they all are great with her." I said and Chris nodded.
"So I know you told me about her dad but had he ever tried to contact you after he left?" Chris asked and I sighed.
"A year after she was born. He showed up at the house and wanted to see her saying he made a mistake and like the idiot I was I let him in. He was fine for a little bit but soon said he had nothing in common with her and said he was no longer paying child support until a DNA test was done since she didn't think she was his since she looks nothing like him." I said and Chris shook his head.
"Did you do it?" Chris asked.
"Hell yeah I did!" I said and we both laughed.
"I mean she looks like me, I can't help that she took after me." I said and Chris laughed.
"So he started paying child support after it came back she was his..." Chris trailed off and I shook my head.
"Nope, he disappeared and no one knows where he is. Well his mom does but I won't deal with that witch so as far as Posey is concerned she is my blessing and I was chosen to be her mom. She never really asked about her dad." I said and Chris grabbed my hand, I smiled.
"You are a great mom and Posey is lucky to have you." Chris said and I smiled at him.
"And I am also lucky to have found you." Chris said and I smiled as he leaned in and kissed me.
"Mama!" Posey said running up to me and Chris making us break apart. I looked at her and smiled.
"Yeah?" I asked.
"Can I have a prezzel?" She asked and I knew she meant a pretzel from the snack bar.
"You know what that sounds amazing. Maisie can I take Posey over and get her a prezzel?" Chris asked, I smiled shaking my head.
"Be my guest, bring me one." I said and Chris winked, stood up and took Posey's hand.
"Let's go kiddo." Chris said and Posey laughed as they walked away. I smiled watching them leave together. This could work, the three of us together.
