Chapter 6: Trapped

Ailiyah swam in and out of her dream. She wanted to wake up but.......... There was something reassuring about the calming silence. When suddenly she heard the crack of a small twig nearby. She tried to tell herself that it was nothing, merely Derek or John rustling about, but in truth she knew better. Suddenly she felt a small cloth wrap firmly around her mouth so that she couldn't scream. She tried to squirm and make noise so that John and Derek would hear her but she felt arms restraining her then everything went black.

When Ailiyah woke up she was lying on scratchy grass in a small clearing. She tried to move but found her arms tied with coarse rope binding her to a nearby rock. She huffed in frustration and glanced up to find a young girl maybe 15 years old peering at her. She had long glossy green hair and stunning gold eyes. The girl glanced over her shoulder and called out to someone behind her. "Kanden!" she barked. "She's awake." The one called Kanden came over. Compared to the girl he looked amazingly ordinary with tan skin and dark brown hair but his blinding silver eyes betrayed how out of the ordinary he truly was. He crouched down beside her and looked her over with those stunning eyes. "Who are you?" he said simply in a calm soothing voice. "Ailiyah" she said simply without hesitation. "Oh come on I know you wouldn't give up your real name that easily." She shrugged and simply replied, "Well your never going to get my real name so you might as well be satisfied with that one."

He rolled his eyes and nodded. "Well I might not be able to get your true name." He paused and slowly pulled a sword out of it's sheath. "But you're going to tell me every thing you know about why we're all here or I'm going to give you a scar right on that pretty face of yours.
