Ailiyah didn't even breath heavy when the knife pierced the soft part of her skin. Just another scar. Just another bruise. Just more pain. There was no wince no soft exhalation just silence. Kanden continued to drag the knife along her right arm. If the girl wasn't right behind her Ailiyah knew she could've disarmed him, and quick. But there was no chance for that now. Ailiyah breathed in, then out at a normal pace. Where was John and Derek? Had they abandoned her? Probably. They barely knew each other anyway.

Finally the faint pain stopped and Kanden leaned back on the balls of his feet and frowned. "She hasn't made a sound much less given us information. Don't stop!" Kalenra barked at Kanden. Kanden just shook his head.

"I've figured something out anyway. "

"What?"

"My guess, is that everyone here is strong in some way. We were taken to this cursed place because we're the toughest. The cream of the crop."

"Wait, how did you figure that out with one measly little scratch?" Kalenra snapped.

"She has the same look in her eyes."

"What look?"

"The look we have............ the look of a survivor."
