Trees flashed past me as I sprinted by in a desperate haste. Pausing at a river, I look in every direction trying to decide which way to go.

Suddenly a sharp pain runs down my back. I stagger to the side, my paws tripping over each other. My head spins, and I can feel my body slowing.

In my perferal vision I make out somebody making there way towards me carrying a small dagger. Quick as a whip I turn on my back legs and face them. Adrenaline courses through my veins awakening my ancestors knowledge.

They come closer unfazed by my sharp teeth and claws. I crouch low to the ground, the hair on my stomach brushing the floor.

I feel it growing inside of me, but instead of pushing it down I embrace it. It grows stronger till I can't hold it any longer. It thunders out between my gleaming, white teeth. Horror fills my hunter's face, and goosebumps cover their skin as I slowly make my way closer to their shaking body. I leap forward teasingly and they run off into the woods tripping on their own two feet.

Lorenna chuckled deep in her throat, her eyes gleaming with amusement about her hunters desperate escape. It had already been a long day for poor Lorenna, and the bullet that was lodged in her shoulder wasn't making it any better.

Lorenna continued to wander the vast forest, but this time at a slower pace than before. She still didn't understand how she got here, but she WAS going to find out soon enough.

Just then she heard voices in an open grove two-thousand yards or so ahead of her. Lorenna crouched low to the ground and prepared to unravel this mystery that she had gotten knotted into.
