KYRAS POV
a week has gone by and im getting ready for court, so i can finally leave.
the nurse walks in, "kyra are you ready the cars parked outside waiting." she says. "yes im putting shoes on then going" i tell her. "okay sounds good" she leaves shutting the door.
i stand up, tie my shoes, and follow outside the door.
i get in the car, and the driver, drives off. i stare out the window and continue to think about vinnie. he's all im worried about right now. i need to tell him i'm pregnant.
we arrive at the courthouse. someone opens the door for me. there's a bunch of news channels who've been wanting to interview me, since i was one of the survivors from the fire.
i step out the car and start to walk to the doors and just ignore the news people. i get inside the court room and sit down with my lawyer.
we start going through the whole court process.

after im finally done with court i can now get all my things and search for vinnie. i try and hurry to leave.
i walk out the court building, find my ride, and leave.
we're heading back to the hospital so i can pick up all my things.
once we finally arrive to the hospital i basically jump out the car and hurry inside. i run to the elevator and then to my hospital room.
i start rushing to gather all my stuff together.
my nurse walks in. "what are you doing?" she asks. "getting all my stuff together since i can now leave" i tell her as i continue.
"and where are you going because we're in new york city, none of your family is from here, you have no money, and you're pregnant." she tells me.
"im going to look for vinnie and that's what im doing" i tel her as im walk towards the door. "kyra i know i can't tell you what to do but you shouldn't go" she tells me.
"why, why should i not? i love him i have to find him." i snap back. "kyra think about this you're pregnant you're leaving without money food a home anything he's probably states away, how are you gonna do all that on your own? you need to stay here i can get you a home you need to work up until you need to have your baby to save money that's what you need to do, i know you love vinnie but if he really loves you he's gonna come searching for you, just have hope." she tells me.
i start crying and put my things down. she immediately comes to me and wraps her arms around me. "you're right he's gonna find me" i tell her.
i know vinnie. he will find me.
"he will kyra. im gonna help you out you can come stay with me tonight and tmr i'll have you an apartment." she tells me. "i'll stay with you tonight just please don't rent me an apartment" i beg her.
"it's just to start you off me and my husband have plenty of money, we love helping people and giving to others, and once you get a job if you'd feel like it i could always switch it over to you but that's only if you'd really want me to" she explains to me.
"thank you so much" i tell her. "okay well come on i have an uber waiting for me you can come along" she says.
i follow her out the door and we go downstairs to the uber. on the ride home all im thinking ab is this baby and vinnie how am i gonna do this on my own for right now? or what if he never comes. i can't think like that.
we arrive at our destination. we thank the Uber driver and get off the car. we walk into the building and into an elevator. "i live really high up" she tells me as she pushes the buttons to the floor.
we get up to her floor and she directs me to her house. we walk in and it's the most beautiful house i've ever walked into.
"wow, i really like it in here" i tell her. "well thank you" she responds. "let me show you where you can stay for tonight" she starts walking and i follow. as we're walking into the kitchen i see her husband. "this is kyra the one i was telling you about" she points at me "hi, im michael" he puts his hand out "hi" i shake his hand.
"well im making dinner so i'll let you know when it's ready" he tells her. "okay thank you" she says. we continue walking down into this hall. i seen i kids bedroom then she walked into a guest bedroom. "this is where you will stay" she tells me. "thank you" i tell her.
"okay well im gonna leave you in here for now tomorrow i'm gonna give you some money so you can go buy some clothes and im gonna get you a new phone"'she tells me. "you really don't have to" i tell her. "no im going to i promise that's all the rest i'll help with" she tells me. i smile back, "thank you".
she leaves the room and i sit on the bed looking around the room and at the view. it's really pretty.

30 minutes go by and then emily walks in to tell me the foods ready. i get up and follow her ton the dining room. i see she has 2 kids. one looks 8 and the other looks 3.
"so these are your kids?" i ask her. "yes" she smiles. "they're beautiful" i tell her. "say hi girls" she tells them. they both wave shyly.
"so i know i promised i wouldn't help with anything else but this is michael's doing not mine" she smiles. "so i know you need a job and i was wondering if you want to work at my business with me and just be an assistant for now" michael asks.
i think about it a little. it would help a lot. "yes i'll take the job" i tell him. "that's good you can start whenever you'd like" he tells me. "thank you i'll probably start after tomorrow if that's fine" i tell him. "yes that's perfect" he tells me.
we continue eating.
after everyone was done eating they did all they're things while i went to sleep.

(a/n) sorry for really not updating in a while i'm trying i started this story in the summer before 8th grade and im a sophomore now so it's really hard to ever have time since i've grown up but i promise this story will get its ending!!
