He was there standing before you, a scowl planted on his immaculate face. He was the infamous pirate Captain Antonio Carredo, known for his cold-hearted ruthlessness. You heard rumors, and heard that the reason why he's so cold is that he tried to have a wife, but so many women played with his heart and left him after a couple days. So you made it your job to gain his trust and love, to warm up his cold heart of stone. That was 3 years ago. Now, you've completely fallen for him, but his cold demeanor never budged.

"You keep acting like you never want love! Is that really what you want?" You yell at him, tears slowly collecting in the corner of your eyes, threatening to fall. "I see you looking at those couples with a longing in your eyes, Antonio. I know you want someone to love, someone to trust. I know women have tugged your heartstrings one too many times. But I swear to God above that I'm different! I'd never do that to you! Can't you get that through that thick skull of yours?" You hysterically say, defeat slowly creeping into your voice as you see his scowl deepening, no sign of him softening at your words at all.

He crosses his arms, letting out a small scoff.
"As if, _____. I've heard that so many times. I know you're lying." He said in a monotone voice, brushing off a bit of dirt from his otherwise pristine coat.

You let out a loud cry of frustration as you watch him turn and walk away from you, walking down the docks towards his ship.

"I love you, goddamnit!" You screamed at him, your tears finally starting to fall. Your hands were balled into fists and your face was a bright red, anyone would know that you were speaking from your heart.

But of course, he didn't turn back. He just shook his head and kept walking, causing you to have to rush to catch up to him, since you weren't letting him leave without getting his cold demeanor to crack.

He noticed you running up to catch up to him, and let out a small sigh. He really wanted this conversation to end, since he felt there was no way you would sway him to change his decision.

He kept ignoring you, just walking up to his ship and boarding it, you only a couple steps behind him. You huffed and kept trying to get his attention, steadily getting more and more frustrated.
