// thank you Canada_26 for requesting! I decided to take more of a different view on this Prussia fanfic. I think that even though he's all cheery and everything, on the inside he's actually depressed. I mean, he's not a country anymore so...

You walked down the school hallway, your books pressed against your chest as you went to your locker. You were just finishing in your locker when you heard the familiar voice of the owner of the locker next to you, Gilbert. You glanced over in his direction and saw that he was talking to his two best friends, Francis and Antonio.

You sighed quietly, trying your hardest to just ignore the trio. You closed your locker with a soft click when you felt a hand grasp your shoulder. You turned and saw that Francis was the one who grabbed your shoulder.

You mentally sighed that it was the Frenchman who grabbed your shoulder, secretly wanting it to have been Gilbert, the self-proclaimed Prussian who you had a "not so big" crush on.

"Oh, _____~! Why are you leaving when I just got here~?" Francis asked, a flirty tone in his voice. You rolled your eyes and gently shrugged his hand off, not even speaking to him as you walked away.

"Why must you be so cold?" Francis cried out, a pout on his face as Antonio and Gilbert just snickered at him.

"Amigo, you should just stop trying to woo _____! The chica obviously isn't into you!" Antonio chuckled out, patting Francis's back as they walked away. Gilbert stayed behind, though, taking a wistful glance in the direction you walked down.

He skipped class and walked down the barren hallways, finally going outside of the school and sitting on one of the benches outside. He glanced down at his hands, a melancholy expression on his face.

No one knew that his cheery, "awesome" attitude was just a façade, that actually he was battling a major case of depression. He cradled his face in his hands, whispering to himself how stupid he was and how no one could ever fall in love with him.

You were up in (fav class), working in your assignment when you decided to take a glance outside. You had a good view of the front of school and noticed someone sitting on the benches outside. You'd recognize that silver hair anywhere. You got up and asked to use the restroom, being a good student and not wanting to just outright ditch class.

Once you were excused from the classroom, you rushed outside to the front if school as fast as your legs could carry you. You slowed down to a walking pace as you neared him.

"Gilbert?" You called out, grabbing the albino's attention. He looked at you with a shocked expression on his face.

"_____?" He asked, confused on why you were out here.

You let out a quiet sigh and sat down next to him, not caring if he wanted ou to or not.

"Gil, you ok? You look like you've been crying..." You pointed out, wiping a stray tear from his cheek.

He just let out a slight scoff and turned his hed, his arrogant façade reappearing.

"Me? Crying? The awesome Gilbert doesn't cry!" He proclaimed, not wanting you to know of his secret.

You just sighed, not buying the standard excuse. You gripped his chin so he would look at you, and he saw the determined expression on your face.

"Gil, I know you were crying. Tell me what's wrong."

He looked down to the ground and let out a soft sigh before deciding to come clean.

"_____... I'm not actually this cocky... When I'm by myself I'm actually very depressed..." He quietly admitted, not wanting to look you in the face.

You hugged him out of the blue, burying your face into his shoulder. "Oh Gil...." You murmured out, not letting go of him anytime soon.

"You should of told me this before... I'll help you get past your depression, ok?" You cheered out, smiling brightly as you finally parted from the hug.

He had a soft blush on his face before matching your smile.

"Thank you so much, _____. I've needed this for a long time."
