It was a beautiful day outside, but of course you had to be cooped up inside. It wasn't your fault, though. There was a reason you were always inside, and that's because you were what people would call a cripple. You were caught in a car accident when you were 6 and both of your legs were paralyzed. Your parents survived with some pretty bad wounds, but the other driver died on impact.
Now that you were older, your parents let you live on your own as long as there was someone to help you. You sighed as you went through several résumés, trying to find a suitable person to have help you for the rest of your life basically.
You ended up settling on this one man by the name of Alfred Freedom Jones. You laughed softly at this, not expecting his full name to be written or all of the points he covers about himself in his résumé. He highlighted his bubbly attitude and his "super mega-awesome hero skills." He sounded like a really interesting person and that was good, so you wouldn't grow bored of him.
You looked for a phone number to contact him at, but the space where he would have put the number was blank. He did write down his address, though, so you might just have to write him a letter. You rolled over to your desk and took out a pen, some paper, and an envelope. You wrote a letter to him asking him to come over since he got the job. You slowly rolled out to the mailbox, waving hello to your neighbor as he was mowing his front lawn.
About 2 days later, you heard a knock at the door and you smiled brightly, knowing that Alfred was finally here. You rolled to the door and opened it for him, smiling softly an letting him inside.
"Thanks for letting me have the job, brohah! I'll make sure to take good care of you!" He rolled you into the living room and sat on the couch, smiling softly and turning on the tv so it wasn't so quiet.
"So, Alfred, you'll have to make sure to get me my medicine every day, and you have to help me with getting clothed and bathing.." You mumbled out, starting to name off what he'd be doing.
Once that last part of your sentence came out if your mouth he blushed a bright pink, not expecting for you to say that so blatantly. You noticed his blush and looked at him with a confused expression on your face. "Why are you blushing like that, Alfred?"
"U-uh, no reason, ____! No reason at all!" He embarrassedly stuttered out, his blush slightly deepening in color. You giggled softy at his reaction before figuring out what he was getting so flustered about.
"You're not stripping me completely, Alfred. I'm keeping my bra and underwear on." You assured him, smiling as he visibly calmed down and his blush disappeared. You thought it was cute how modest he was.
"You'll be living with me now so you should bring all of your stuff here. You'll be starting tomorrow" He nodded and the information and gave you a mock salute and grinned widely. "Copy that ____! I'll leave to get my stuff now and I will see you later!" On that note, he got up and waved goodbye before leaving your house. You sighed out and smiled at his perky personality and grabbed the tv remote, watching tv and waiting for Alfred to return.
Alfred returned late in the evening, his truck filled basically to the brim with all of his junk. You smiled as he burst through the door holding two giant duffel bags presumably filled with clothes. He gave you a heartwarming grin and his cheeks were a bit flushed, giving you the hint that he was rushing to get back to your house.
"Hey _____! Where should I put all of my crap?" He asked, placing the duffel bags on the ground.
"It's your third door down the hallway on the left, My room is right next to yours." You replied, letting out a small squeak of surprise when he started rolling you down into his new room. You were a bit surprised at his strength when you saw that he was also holding the duffel bags as he pushed. He put the duffel bags down on the floor and gently picked you up out of your wheelchair which earned him a bright pink blush on your face as he sat you down on his "bed."(it was just a mattress on a beds prong with two pillows right now)
"I'll be back with the rest of my junk so just sit tight and don't get bored!" He cheered out, oblivious to the blush on your face, as he rushed out to get the rest of your things. 'I'm glad I chose him to help me,' You thought, smiling to yourself and waiting for him to come back.

Alfred has been your caretaker for about four years now, and you have to admit that you've created a tight bond with him. You and him have basically been inseparable since you hired him. He makes your life so much more bright, and he even makes you forget that you're a cripple sometimes. You thought he was such a sweetheart, and right now he was in the kitchen making you lunch.
You huffed as you tried to turn yourself around on the couch to look over the back of the couch and watch Alfred in the kitchen, since he placed you there and you didn't have the best upper body strength. It would be easier if the position he placed you down in wasn't a bit awkward, your legs were over the edge, but you were slouching a bit on the couch.
"Alfredddddddddd" You whined playfully, wanting him to hurry up since you were really hungry.
You heard a laugh come out from the kitchen as Alfred walked in front of you, holding a plate out for you with a delicious-looking ham, mayo, an cheese sandwich with a side of potato chips. "The hero has arrived with your lunch, _____~!" You smiled graciously and took the plate filled with food, eagerly taking out of the sandwich and reveling in the amazing taste of said sandwich. Alfred watched your expression, pleased that you liked it and blushing slightly that you did. He sat down next to you and you both ate in a comfortable silence, both enjoying lunch.
You smiled and gave him a small peck on the cheek once you finished eating, giggling as you saw his face turn a deep shade of red.
"Wha-what was that for, _____?..." He stuttered out, completely caught off-guard. You kept giggling, making him pout cutely.
"_____" He groaned out a bit irritated, wanting to know why you were playing with his feelings. You smiled and leaned against him, nuzzling your face into his shoulder and relaxing at the smell of a mixture of Axe and the outdoors (it's what I think he'd smell like. *shrugs*)
"It's just a thank-you for making me lunch~" You mused, looking up at his face.
He just chuckled and wrapped an arm around your shoulder and held you close, deciding to get revenge and kiss your cheek. You froze and blushed, your eyes widening as Alfred smirked smugly. You recovered from the kiss and playfully hit his arm, knowing that it didn't hurt him.
"Don't kiss me unless you like like me!" You said, pouting and puffing out your cheeks. his expression softened as he kissed you softly, parting from the kiss quickly and smiling brightly.
"But I do like like you." He replied lovingly, deciding to use your term instead of just saying love.
You gasped softly and blushed at his confession, hesitating a bit before hugging him tightly and kissing him sweetly.
"I like like you too." You replied quietly, your face a shade of crimson as you buried your face into the crook of his neck. He gently rubbed your back and hummed, glad you returned his feelings for you. His feelings blossomed for you in the third year he worked for you, too shy to admit that he fell in love with you. His stubborn personality wouldn't let himself admit it until he thought it was the right time, which ended up to be two years later.

You smiled as your husband carried you into the kitchen and sat you down in a kitchen chair, making a small protest against you being in your wheelchair. There was the pitter-patter of small feet as your son rushed into the kitchen at the smell of waffles, eggs, and bacon for breakfast. He looked just like your husband with his blonde hair, blue eyes, and even a little cowlick. You laughed as the little toddler climbed up into your lap and smiled up at you. Your husband, Alfred, walked over with three big plates with waffles on one, scrambled eggs on another, and bacon on the third. Your little family ate breakfast happily, eating almost all of the food that Alfred cooked. You were happy with your life, glad that you chose Alfred to be your caretaker however many years ago that was.
