Immortal: Norway x Reader

You glanced up at the surface of the water, watching the world through the distorted image. Your long, seaweed green hair was flowing around you, seeming to have a mind of it's own. You sighed and slowly surfaced from the pond in which you live, looking around at the woods surrounding you. You got out of your pond entirely, stretching your legs and arms. Your aqua blue skin shimmered under the sunlight as you sat down on a large rock, sunbathing and relaxing. You didn't notice when a boy walked into your little clearing, his hair a light blonde and his eyes a piercing cornflower blue.

The boy watched you with almost emotionless eyes, not surprised to see a sea nymph sunbathing, though he was a bit embarrassed since he noticed that you weren't really wearing clothes. He sat down quietly at the edge of the pond that you called home, glancing at his reflection and the reflection of the troll that was walking with him.

You opened your eyes once you heard a voice and you sat up, your hair draping over your chest. You saw a boy talking to a troll of all people and your were curious on how the human could see the mythical being. You slowly got off of your rock, quietly sneaking up on the two, wanting to know what they were talking about.

"Really, Jörg? I'd rather you not talk about nymphs like that. You know just as well as I that she can drown you with a snap of her fingers." The emotionless boy said, making his troll companion, Jörg, become livid.

"You're really gonna play that card Lukas? You're ridiculous." Said troll spat out before turning to walk away, accidentally bumping into you. He blushed deeply an backed up from you. "I-I'm sorry! Don't drown me!"

You just laughed softly, even if it didn't even sound like a laugh. It sounded more like the faint popping of bubbles. You got up from your crouching position, noticing that the boy was getting up also.

Lukas let his eyes scan over your form, deliberately avoiding your chest or upper thighs. He cleared his throat and started to speak to you. "Hello sea nymph. My name is Lukas. And this is my friend Jörg." He introduced, hoping he didn't anger you.

You just smiled brightly, rushing over to the pond and collecting some water in your hands. You knew that he didn't understand your language so you were going to write to him. With the water in your hands, parts of it changed color so it spelled 'Hello Lukas and Jörg. My name is _____. I haven't had visitors in a long time.'

You showed the water to Lukas and he nodded. He took off all of his clothes except for his boxers, and slowly submerged himself in your pond. Your eyes twinkled in excitement and you went into the water with him, swimming around with him happily. You were ok that he had to resurface every once in a while to get a breath of air, but you were just happy that he was giving you attention.

He visited you about once every two weeks from then on, and you were so happy that he did. Your pond progressively got cleaner and more beautiful, since you were so happy. You saw him walking into the clearing and you quickly got out of your pond, rushing over to him and giving him a big hug. You heard him laugh for the first time, and noticed that he had a slight smile on his face. You let go of him and he stripped down completely, since he was comfortable and he also remembered that the males that sea nymphs would see were normally completely naked, just like the women. You quickly brought him into your pond and swam with him, very very happy.

He relaxed on the shore of the pond, his head and shoulders above water while the rest of him was submerged. You poked your head up out from underwater and smiled brightly, nuzzling his cheek. This was really bad, but you started to fall in love with him. It was bad because you were immortal and he was human so he would die while you stayed alive.

He looked down at your face and noticed that you looked sad. "Why are you sad, _____?" He asked, a tad bit of worry evident in his voice. He studied nymph speech since when he first met you so you could talk normally and he would be able to understand you.

"I just realized this, Lukas. I am immortal yet you aren't. I will still be living but you will die." You said, your voice sounding like running water. You looked up at his face, a sad look in your eyes.

He just smiled softly, moving a strand of your seaweed-like hair out of your face. "_____, I am immortal too, as long as my country is alive." He explained, watching your sad demeanor turn back into that of happiness. You hugged him tightly, never wanting to let go of him. You smiled and kissed him, your lips cold and clammy compared to his warm, soft lips. He kissed back, wrapping his arms around your waist and keeping you close. Once you two parted from the kiss, you laid your head against his chest and just relaxed.

You two were interrupted a bit later by Jörg, who was getting some berries to eat. "Oh please tell me they're won't be little sea nymph human hybrids running around." He sighed out, making Lukas get up and take all of Jörg's berries away from him.

"Hey!! Those were mine!!"
