Prologue
"It's a disaster, the Internet is down, the electricity is down,"
Down all the roads all you could hear was drilling, digging, crashes and bangs. The overground station lines were particularly in a bit of a rock and a hard place. They had to stop the regular train services. It was the only way. Obviously, there were a few trains, but only about less than a handful. Most stations were closed due to severe repair measures having to take place. The buses were now coming less frequently, now the only real way of getting around was by bike or walk. Phone lines were all down, no call, no text, no Wi-Fi.
All because of this so-called solar storm.
But if you listened carefully at the time it struck, you would know that this wasn't just some regular solar storm...
But this didn't really affect The Three Travel Buddies.
They would have to take the 7:49 train from their home, Stoketown to Emerald Green, where their school was located. Luckily this train was part of the small minority that wasn't cancelled. Their train back was the 3:43, which was also unaffected. (Well, for now) This would be their first time on these trains, this was the first time they had ever been to this new secondary school. Their names were Jay, Alfred, Matilda and Dave.
Jay and Alfred were already acquainted. So were Matilda and Dave. The two pairs knew nothing of the other. Until one event brought them all together. Now, let me hand this story over to them... and let the journey begin...
