Chapter 1 - Cheer Up!
Jay
"Why are we so goddamn gullible... Why are we so goddamn oblivious..." Matilda sighed, seemingly disheartened.
"Don't worry Matilda, it's just how we are," Dave said. "Besides, we still have chocolate, tons of it, to be exact!!"
Dave always finds every positive to a negative situation, it's just amazing how he does this.
"I guess so..." Matilda said, a slight frown on her face.
Alfred was also a little unhappy. Dave thought for a split-second and then took a few chocolate coins from the bag. He gave us one each, as he began to nibble on one of his own.
"It tastes great," I said.
Matilda smiled a little as she tried it.
"Not bad I'd say," Matilda said. "Right, we should be getting on our way."
"Thing is, it's 5pm now, we've been on the road for ages! Can we please take a little break?" I asked.
"Alright then, I might've seen another park during our little chase, follow me!!" Matilda shouted.
Chapter 2 - Gone Astray
Alfred
We had a seat on one of the benches. As soon as we finished eating, I heard something. It came from the bushes.
"Meow..."
What was that...? I mean, of course it was a cat, it mewed, but what would a cat be doing out here?
"Did you guys hear something?" I asked.
Was I dreaming?
"Well I haven't," Matilda replied. "It's probably just your imagination."
I warily looked around a bit, but nothing, no sign of a cat. But then I heard it again.
"Meow!!!"
Surely this wasn't my brain playing tricks on me? I departed from the group and searched around the area.
"Alfred what are you doing?" Jay asked. "Are you looking for something?"
"Well, yes, or maybe... I really don't know," I replied.
"You don't know what you're doing. Is that right?"
"I guess so. Well, I could've sworn I heard a cat around here..."
"Oh no, no, no.... Don't get it anywhere near me..."
Jay backed away from me.
"Why?"
As I asked this question, a black and white cat leapt from the bushes and landed on Jay's head.
"Alfred.... Is the cat on me...?"
I nodded slowly.
Jay's face turned into a look of terror, but he also seemed to look a little ill. He began running around in circles, screaming and shouting.
"Jay, what's wrong??" Matilda asked.
"There's a cat on me!!!" Jay shouted.
"Well what's wrong with that?" Dave questioned. "Cats are cute!"
"Not when you're allergic!! Achoo..." Jay exclaimed, now looking drowsy.
"Oh Lord...." I said. "Jay, wait up!!"
