Chapter 1 - Moss Reliant

Dave

I know that one day, Jay will learn about rhetorical questions. And sarcasm. And exaggeration and metaphors according to Matilda... That might take a while... Anyway, we still needed to find a way back.

"So, does anyone have any thoughts on how we can find our way back?" Alfred asked.

"Was that a rhetorical question?" asked Jay.

"No," Alfred replied, visible annoyance on his face. "Does anyone have any ideas?"

"Well, in that case, I do. Moss Grows in the north of trees, and we need to go south. So, if we just continue going up this way, we'll eventually find a place we know,"Jay said.

"Good idea Jay!" I said. "Let's go!"

We began to walk out of the park, and just as we reached the gate, I glanced back, and gave one final salute to what had been our home base. I then caught up with the rest of my group, and Alfred asked, "So just straight up, isn't it, Jay?"

"Yep," Jay replied. "Or was that a rhetorical question?"

"No Jay..." Alfred said. "Can this even get any worse?"

"Probably," Jay said.

"JAY, THAT WAS RHETORICAL!!!" Alfred shouted, then letting out a large elongated sigh.

"It was? Sorry, I can't tell..." Jay said.

"THANKS FOR THE OBVIOUS SHERLOCK!!!" Alfred shouted.

"You're welcome,'' Jay replied.

"THAT WAS SARCASM!!" I shouted.

"It was?" Jay asked, confused.

"YES, JAY!" we all exclaimed.

Jay gave us an awkward smile, before taking the lead of the group once again.

I didn't think that Jay would ever get his head around the world of sarcasm and rhetorical questions, but I was going to try and help. After all, what else was there to do? I might as well have a sub-quest alongside getting back home.

Chapter 2 - My Friends And I

I looked on as the sunset blinded my already tired eyes.

I paused for a second, allowing my group to pass me while using Jay's human sundial strategy, and according to it, it had been around 3 hours since we had begun walking, it now being 5pm in the evening. I then caught up with my pals, and I noticed Alfred looking awestruck towards the sky. I peered upwards too.

The sky was a warm tint of orange, the Sun seemingly in the centre, a bright, blazing yellow.

However, despite the beauty of the sight, I averted my gaze, it was really hurting my eyes. I then looked at Alfred again, and his eyes seemed to reflect the light, making them seem as if they were sparkling. He then looked over to Matilda, who was beside him and said, "The sky looks great, doesn't it?"

"Yeah, it's a brilliant sunset," Matilda said.

Jay then looked up.

"The sky is orange!" he shouted, happily.

"You like orange?" Matilda asked.

"Orange's the best!" Jay said.

"Whatever you say..." Matilda said.

I thought orange really suited Jay. It's a very happy colour in my opinion. Just like Jay. My favourite colour is yellow. Does that suit me? Matilda likes blue. I'm not sure about blue. By what I know, it's a calm colour, and this would describe her, in my opinion. Alfred, I wasn't sure.
