Chapter 1 - A Trip To Nowhere
Dave
"Alfred, thank goodness you're so vigilant... What now?" I asked, getting off the train.
"There's nothing we can do. The other train line is cancelled for maintenance. Apparently it'll be like that for quite a while, a month at the least. There's no way we can get back that way..." Matilda said, hopelessly.
"But won't the 7:49 train come eventually? We took it this morning, surely it should come again tomorrow?" I asked.
"Well, the bulletin board says otherwise..." Matilda said, pointing up at the screen displaying orange text.
She was right, now all trains were cancelled until further notice, and were expected to begin running in about a month's time...
"I'm sure we'll be fine. We just have to find another way, there's always another way!" Jay exclaimed, enthusiastically.
Jay seemed very optimistic. I liked that.
"Thanks Jay. Come on then. Let's try to find a way!" Matilda shouted.
"So, which way?" I questioned.
North, South, East or West? Stoketown was North of here, so I supposed we just needed to figure out where North was. Fairly easy, but then again, none of us understand geography.
"Can't we check our phones to figure out where we should go?" Alfred suggested.
"No WiFi, remember? Stupid solar storm cut that out quite a while back. And mine's dead," Matilda replied.
WiFi never seems to work when you need it to... And you never seem to have data left when you actually need to use it... Or is it just me? I suppose I should stop using all my data on Geometric Run. But then again, it's not like data would work anyway.
"Same," Jay said.
"Good point..." Alfred murmured.
We left the station, and began to take a random route down the main road. As we walked past, I gazed around at the new surroundings. I saw a place apparently called, "The Sky Garden," we didn't enter the building, but I could still see various plants from through the window. We also crossed London Bridge, and there was a ship there called the, "HMS Belfast," which from the outside seemed like it'd be quite a maze if you got inside there. Around that area was a large bus garage, full of now unused buses like the 149, 47 and 381, which were unused because there had also apparently also been a recent fuel shortage. Solar storm and then a fuel shortage... Well, I also spotted The Shard, reflecting off the orange and yellow colours of the sunset. Wait, the sunset?
It was getting late and fast. The streets of London were becoming deserted, to a point where I even asked myself whether we were even still in London at all. As the sky began to turn navy blue, and the lampposts and lights of the buildings began to turn on providing light alongside the big lightbulb being the moon, I was getting concerned. I wasn't exactly sure about the others, but I could clearly see that Matilda was somewhat confused. Maybe I should use the word 'discombobulated'. Yes it's a very confusing word in itself, very ironic.
It was getting later and later, and it was when Matilda suggested we turn back when...
Everything became dark.
Chapter 2 - Nihility
Jay
I didn't know what was going on. I couldn't see the illuminated lampposts. I couldn't see the reassuring light of the moon. It was pitch black darkness. We were moving. We weren't purposely moving, someone was moving us. There were a lot of bumps, so maybe it was some sort of van we were in? My hands were tied behind me, and I think the reason I was unable to see was a blindfold on my face. I couldn't speak either. There was something tied around my mouth.
