Beatrix"We got the balls?" Amy asked.
"Check," Jeredine held up her phone, checking shit off on her checklist.
"Surfboards?"
"Surfboard...surfboard," A'livia sung.
"Shush," Onella laughed, wrapping her braids up again into a bun.
"Towels?"
"Plenty of those," I said, showing her my bag.
"Beach toys?"
"Does my strap-on count?" A'livia winked at Jeredine.
"Ew. Y'all bet not make out once during this trip," Onella whined. "Nasty couple shit."
"When you find your boo, you'll be doing this too," A'livia proclaimed, giving Jeredine a big smooch on the face.
"Why cuffed people always gotta make it out to seem like single people are at a disadvantage for not having to deal with another person glued to them?" Onella complained.
"Hush," Amy interrupted, "Sunscreen?"
"I brought a white brand and a black brand," I showed Amy the backpack. "Equality for the pimples."
"Hey, I don't have pimples!" Jeredine laughed.
"Me neither!" A'livia joined in.
"Hush," Onella giggled.
"Alright. That was the last half of the list. We got everything. Y'all ready to go?" Amy looked around the group.
"Let's try to wait for Liberty a little while longer. I text her about the trip and she only responded okay. I don't know if she'll show up or not though. She hasn't responded to anymore of my texts," A'livia said.
We were camped out in front of Jeredine's waiting to drive out near Galveston. "I'll try calling her. What time are we scheduled to leave?" I asked the crew.
"Eleven. We wanna have enough time to comfortably set up stuff," Jeredine answered. A'livia was snuggled up on her shoulder, on they femxfem shit.
"Do you think I could drive by Liberty's and see if she's going? I'll be quick," I suggested."You sure you wanna go?" A'livia rose an eyebrow, her eyes trying to convey something more to me.
"Yeah. Amy's out and we gotta celebrate," I shrugged. "She still took that bitch back anyways," Amy rolled her eyes, "but it's whatever."
"I'll go with you," A'livia slowly pulled herself away from Jeredine, leaving her girlfriend with a light kiss.
"Okay," I agreed nervously. Did A'livia take last night in another way? Did she think we had something more now? Was she going to try and make a move on me?
A'livia and headed down the driveway to my red car.
I unlocked the door and let her get in, waiting until all the car doors were closed before I turned to her.
"Why did you want to go with me?" I asked.
"Chillax, I just wanted to see Liberty."
"Do you plan on telling her about...last night?" I asked. We were both a whole lot more clear minded than we had been compared to Friday now. "No. It didn't mean anything to me. Did it mean anything to you?" A'livia sent a condescending look my way.
I pulled out of the driveway, heading in the direction of Liberty's. "No. I was just trying to make sure that you didn't read too much into things."
"Sounds like that's what you're trying to do," A'livia stated a bit defensively. "What, do you have plans on telling Liberty about our little flirting? Because that could get me in trouble with Jeredine and our best friend."
