Deep down I knew it was a terrible idea to change our relationship from strangers to enemies, but oh how tempting it was. I'd have to bite my tongue more often.

I spent the day wandering around the house, watching movies, rolling around on the floor a few times, working out, eating, sleeping, then repeating all of it. I have to admit, weekends are pretty boring. I couldn't help but notice that I haven't seen Mrs. Uim since yesterday. That was incredibly odd.

I decided not to eat dinner today. Without her cooking I found myself struggling to find something worth spending my time eating. An unhealthy habit, but none of the less the reality of my picky palate.

She usually leaves me alone on weekends but sticks around just in case I ask her to play cards or do face masks with me. I haven't seen her anywhere. Brushing off the thought, hoping tomorrow was different I showered and slept.

Sunday morning started no differently. I woke up at a similar time. The only change was the fact I decided to put a shirt on. I wanted to avoid whatever happened yesterday from ever happening again.

My feet pattered against the cold floor, deja vu from yesterday. A man's voice blared from downstairs. Anger and age revealing from his tone. I increased my pace to a jog to investigate.

I skipped down the stairs until I saw the source of the voice. None other than my father, who was standing in the living room. Definitely not how I wanted to start my day. I looked further around the corner to see who he was yelling at.

My heart shattered slightly when I saw a trembling woman I care so dearly for. Mrs. Uim. He took a step closer to her, forcing the hairs on my neck to rise, my adrenaline beginning to pump. She had a glossy layer over her eyes.

My jaw clenched. Who does he think he is treating someone like this?

His hand began to reel backwards. Panic settled in, my eyes widening. He wouldn't fucking dare. I lunged forward from the safety of the corner.

Reaching my hand, catching his arm, inches from hitting Mrs. Uim straight across the face. A few seconds of silence followed until I happily broke it.

"Have you lost you're fucking mind?" I spat. My father's eyes darkened, followed by the motion of him ripping his arm from my grasp.

My father might be one terrifying man, but when you grew up with him, you learn how to be just as intimidating. They say the apple never falls far from the tree.

"What'd you just say, boy?" He huffed. His hand strongly gripped my collar. The force caused me to stumble backwards, my heart rate increasing. A voice interrupted.

"Mr. Jeon?"

It was Taehyung's. Both of our necks cranked to look towards him. Surprisingly my father released his hand from my collar.

"Taehyung! My boy! Just the person I wanted to see! The only competent person in this house." He said the last part directly making eye contact with both Mrs. Uim and I.

The audacity. He brushed past me, slamming his shoulder into mine. I stumbled backwards from the force, Mrs. Uim quickly balances me with her own body weight.

Both Taehyung and my father disappeared down another highway. I was fuming.

"Are you alright?" Mrs. Uim asked urgently. My blood pressure was brought down the second I made eye contact with her.

"Forget about me. Are you alright?"

She nodded, exhaling a large breath. My eyes hastily scanned her entire body, attempting to locate any source of injury she was lying through her teeth about. My eyes locked on a yellow bruise around her wrist, it was swollen and irritated. My eyes didn't leave the wound. Her eyes followed my gaze. She immediately covered it when she realized.
