Warm circles rotated around my back. A pat now and again.
"Jungkook." A warm voice whispered in my ear.
"Time to get up."
I opened my eyes, blurred blobs filling my vision.
"Jungkook, it's already 3:00 p.m. We'll be preparing to open soon. Do you want me to call you a taxi home?"
I found it very hard to understand what he was saying. I raised my head, a wave of dizziness causing me to slowly lower right back down on the table.
"Here let me get you a glass of water."
The heat of someone next to me left as footsteps retreated away, returning seconds later.
"Lift your head up. Have some water."
I lifted my head, a hand wrapped around me, helping my chest upward. My head fell side to side, a head splitting headache pounding against my skull.
A clink was heard as a glass of water was placed in front of me. The man removed his hand from my chest, moving them to my shoulders, messaging them firmly.
"You look like hell." He chuckled. His laugh sparked my memory. I thought long and hard, I could hardly remember my name let alone other people.
After some quiet thinking my memories slowly returned. A few minutes later I responded.
"Hobi?" I questioned, my voice hoarse and deep. Another endearing laugh was heard.
"Congratulations, you guessed correctly." He laughed. My eyes finally began to focus.
"Is everything okay? One of my staff members came to me yesterday saying some man was drinking the hardest liquor we had like it was water. When I came down to investigate seeing it was you it broke my heart. Who hurt my number one employee?" He said, sulking.
He patted my shoulders, making sure I didn't lose consciousness again. Hoseok was the owner of the bar, my boss in other words.
Even though he was my boss I saw him as a close friend. He knew the basic outline of my life, nothing too in depth but enough to have an idea what was bothering me.
"Is it Taehyung?" he asked.
I nodded with a sigh. I pulled the glass of water to my lips, taking sip after sip. To say I felt like shit was an understatement.
"I was worried you'd get alcohol poisoning. I couldn't keep my eyes off you the whole night. Keeping the horny sluts off you was like swatting mosquitoes, practically impossible.
I'd turn around for one second to shoo off someone and a second later I'd turn back around to someone trying to drag you out of the bar. I ended up just sitting next to you the rest of the night, guarding you."
A smile rested on my lips. "Sorry, I really am. Keeping you busy all night wasn't my intention. I appreciate it though, I really mean that."
He ruffled my hair.
"Don't worry I'll always be here if you ever want another night like yesterday. I'd appreciate it if you only did it once in a while." He said jokingly. He was a walking ray of sunshine. Unfortunately the thoughts of last night's argument began to return.
"Hey Hobi."
"Hm?"
"If some asshole said it was okay to hit people if you have money and power would it be wrong to say he was being delusional...as well as using a few unnecessary words of profanity."
Hoseok laughed out loud.
"Don't tell me you cursed out Taehyung."
I simply shrugged.
