3. Kids with trauma

Luz woke up disoriented, a sleepy smile showing in her face.

"Where...?" She murmured out loud, not knowing where she was.

This is...my room? My old room? She thought, but, how did I get here?

At that moment, she remembered everything that had happened, an ache appearing in her heart. I hadn't been a dream, everything, all that terrible things actually happened.

Her sleepy smile turning into a sorrowful expression.

Suddenly a face show over her.
"Good morning, Luz!"

It was Vee. Smiley cheerfully, looking at Luz with something in her eyes that Luz hadn't seen in a while. Truly happiness.

"Morning, Vee" Luz answered forcing a smile, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes, "I didn't know you were so... energetic"

"I'm usually not. But, I'm really excited of having you, all of you, here. I've been wanting to properly meet you for a while. Your mother has told me a lot about you" She said as she get on the floor, her green skin shining with the early sunlight.

Luz wonder why she was in her basilisk form, didn't change form waist the little magic she has?

"Vee, can I ask you something?" Luz asked shyly.
"Yeah, sure"

"Why are you in your basilisk form?" Luz ventured to ask.

Vee rub the back of her neck, "well, i didn't feel comfortable taking your form, and I thought it wasn't fair for Camila either. So I simply didn't changed back?"

Luz blink, assimilating the new information. That means Vee didn't went out the house. That must be boring.
Maybe Luz should suggest her to adquiere a new form? So she could have a normal live here on earth? Or at least as normal as someone in this family can.

She decided not to say anything, at least not yet, she still had an awful lot of things in her head.

She shaked her head to dissipate all of that of her mind.

"Wanna go get breakfast?" Vee suggested, Luz realizing she was, indeed, hungry, so she got up and nodded.
"Let's go"

When Vee and went through the living room on their way to the kitchen.

Willow, Hunter, Gus and Amity were all in the sofa, sleeping peacefully.

"Should we wake them?" Vee asked Luz whispering

She hesitated before answering, "No, they need the sleep"

But as she said this, Amity, as well as Willow, moved and began opening their eyes, stretching, waking up the boys too.
So soon the four of them were awake, staring to Luz and Vee.

"Good morning!" Vee greeted them, as cheerfully as she greeted Luz.

"Hi..." Gus said, unenthusiastically.
"Morning" Amity answered with the same energy.

"We were going to have breakfast. Would you like to join?" Vee invited them.
"I think we'd love to have a nice breakfast" Willow answered while they were getting up.
