Seto's POV
I carried them both into my room, setting Tyra down on the desk carefully. I was still mad at her for leaving, but I'd get to that later. Now, I had another tiny person to deal with. Honestly, I didn't really mind taking care of Tyra, I love her. Although, she can get pretty moody.
I had no idea there would be more. Now there was this tiny, wounded fox girl laying in my palm. I gotta say, she's pretty adorable. Her little fox ears stayed flat against her head, and her bloody tail curled under her shivering body. Of course, she's terrified of me.
"May I see your tail?" I asked politely. "I promise I won't hurt you."
She nodded reluctantly, "I guess..."
I picked her up as gently as I could, taking her tail in between my thumb and index finger. Her delicate tail was torn up, not fatally, but still a badly wounded. "Are... are you a hybrid?" I questioned.
"K-kitsunemimi, or kitsune.... f-fox hybrid..."
"What's your name?"
"K-Kay...."
"As you might've already heard, I'm Seto."
She only nodded again, still quivering. A canine-like whine escaped her lungs, her blue eyes wide behind her tiny glasses. I suddenly felt like I was a giant, she looked so scared and miserable. Dabbing a drop of ointment on the gash, I secured it with a very small piece of gauze, "That better?"
"Y-yes, th-thank you..." she stuttered.
Tyra's POV
I watched from a distance as Seto placed the terrified kitsune back down. I didn't think there would be anyone else like me, I guess that means I won't be alone in this huge world. Seto's caramel eyes swept around, most likely looking for me. Great, now I have to hide.
"Tyra?" he called. "I swear to God if you're running from me..."
I gulped and attempted to run, but it was no use. Fingers the size of tree trunks curled around my figure before I could even flinch, bringing me up to his eyes. Letting out a scream, I squirmed and struggled in his firm grip.
"And just where do ya think you're going?" he asked rhetorically.
I gritted my teeth in frustration, "Put. Me. Down. Now."
"Can't you follow at least one rule? That's all I asked! I would die if that cat killed you! Just die!" he ranted, clutching me a little tighter. I knew he'd never hurt me on purpose, but as gentle as he was, he could easily lose control.
"I saved her life!" I argued, still struggling. "Would you rather me have stayed and her get eaten?!"
"Tyra, get this through your head, alright? I. Am not. Losing. You. Again. Understand?" I was much closer to his narrowed eyes now, seeing a very faint spark of violet in them. "Well?"
I glanced at Kay, who was watching us in a corner where the desk met the wall. Complete fear was written all over her face. Her mouth was agape, revealing fangs. "You can't trust humans," she had said earlier.
"Did you not hear me?" Seto growled at me.
"Seto," I whispered, which is really hard to do with a giant squeezing the life out of you. "You're scaring Kay."
At the sound of her name, she immediately stopped staring and hid her face behind her long, brown hair. Seto's expression changed to guilty. Looks like I win this time.
"I apologize, I'm not usually like that...." he said, loosening his grip just a bit.
And at that exact moment, the door clicked open. Wonderful. Just wonderful.
