Kay's POV

Brice opened the door, stepping into the dim room without hesitation. We both froze.

Seto was holding Tyra, his massive lips pressed softly against the side of her tiny face. Tyra's dark blue eyes were closed while blushing deeply. An alternative to-

'Whoa,

Whoa,

WHOA.

What just happened?!'

"I KNEW IT! CAUGHT YOU TWO!!!" Brice laughed. I flattened my ears to block out his yell, for fear of going deaf.

Seto flinched and nearly dropped Tyra. Fortunately, he caught her and held her close. "Brice! Go away! And don't startle me like that!"

I cocked my head to the side, staring at the two in bewilderment. "You lovebirds! You just can't stop, can you!" Brice joked, still holding me.

Seto reddened, glancing down at Tyra, who was now latched onto his finger due to the near-death experience. 'They... like each other? A human and a... well, tinier human? How would that even work out?'

"Seto, you are a little liar! A love-struck liar!" Brice continued. "I'm surprised you didn't engulf her!"

The cloaked human glared at his friend, "Shut. Up." he snapped, attempting to pry Tyra off of his digit without hurting her. "You can let go now, I won't drop you. I promise," Seto coaxed her sweetly. "Sorry, I'm just a little jumpy I guess," Tyra apologized, her cheeks still red and letting go.

Brice continued to laugh and annoy them to death, but still conscious about keeping me from falling out of his hand. "Don't be a Mitch," Tyra grumbled finally. Brice quickly shut up, slightly hurt at the comment. 'What's a 'Mitch'?'

I still couldn't tell whether to trust Brice or not. He seemed nice, but still, you can't judge a book by its cover. I'm really not sure if I can trust any humans at all, its their fault for what's happened to me...

"Hey, what's wrong?" Brice held me up to meet his gaze.

"What do you mean?"

"You looked sad. Was I too loud?"

"Oh, um its nothing, don't worry about it."

"Doesn't look like nothing."

"Don't push me."

"Mkay, if you say so."

'Raena help me.....'

'Oh shut up, no one can save you now. You just got caught by those humans, idiot. You think Raena would risk her life to save a petty creature like you?'

'Never mind...'
