Seto's POV

I came out of the closet, not really knowing what to expect. When Brice says "situation" he either means something really bad or something not worth mentioning. Kay was safe in my pocket, against her will of course, and a Potion of Instant Death in the other.

Brice was holding a glass cup over something on the window sill. As I got closer, it seemed to be a hybrid. A girl, complete with black wings and a long scaly tail. EnderDragon hybrids were extremely rare, I didn't even know they existed! But... what's it doing here?

"Oh good! You heard me!" Brice said.

"What are you... doing? How'd you find a dragon hybrid?" I questioned him.

"It's hurt! But doesn't like us apparently. But if I let it go, I'm not sure what it'll do!" Brice explained.

I looked a little closer, noticing her left wing was torn apart. Dry trails of blood covered her arms in crimson. "You're right..."

"I can hear every word you speak, ya know!" the hybrid hissed, baring her fangs. "Release me! Or should I say, it?"

Brice looked to me for what to say, but honestly, I didn't know how to handle this situation. The dragon girl glared at us with menacing amethyst eyes, waiting for a reply. "I'm sorry about this, but we just want to help you. If you don't attack us or run off, then we can let you out," I told her.

Her expression changed to suspicious, "What do you take me for?"

"I beg pardon?"

"I don't need any humans catering to my medical needs!" she growled, lashing her tail. "And I'm not an idiot! I would never put my trust in a couple of humans that just imprisoned me in a cup!"

I was a little taken aback by her words, but I didn't blame her. "Have it your way!" she screamed.

Her irises flashed a dark violet and her pupils became thin slits. When she opened her mouth again, an ear piercing screech emitted through her lungs. I mean, literally ear piercing. It felt like blades being shoved in my ears. Brice let go of the cup to cover his ears and staggered backwards. I instinctively covered the pocket Kay was in. If it was that loud to us, her ears might be bleeding. The screech didn't sound at all like a girl, more like a bat that morphed into a dragon.

The glass shattered around her and she stopped abruptly. When I looked back, the hybrid was in a hunter's crouch, surrounded by a circle of glass shards. She opened her hand, purple flames licking her fingers, and threatened to throw. How... how can she do that?!

Kay was trying to peek over the edge of her hiding place, curious to see what was going on. But I pushed her back in for fear of her safety, we couldn't risk having her hurt again.

When I looked back, Brice had a scorch mark on his cheek. He was getting pissed off and simply grabbed the hybrid. "Hey! We were never trying to hurt you! But it'll come to that if you don't stop with the flame-throwing!" She ignored his command and thrashed in his grip, biting and squirming to get free. Droplets of blood trickled down Brice's hand, but he didn't let go. Finally the hybrid stopped, panting and bowing her head in defeat.

"If I were my real size I could've gotten away..." she murmured.

Brice opened his hand, his tone softening, "Actually, I think we'd be dead if that happened."

"Matrix?"

I looked down to see Kay, out of my pocket, staring at the dragon hybrid. The hybrid hopped down from Brice's hand and stared back, her eyes still violet. Oh crap...

"Kay?"

The dragon girl took off like a black bullet and tackled her. At first, I thought it was a sign of aggression, until I heard Kay giggle. The two shrunken hybrids were embracing in a hug. Well, this was rather unexpected....
