Seto's POV
'No, no, no! This is NOT happening! No way!'
It looked like a bomb exploded in our room. Books lay all over the floor, shards of miscellaneous glass glimmered in various places (even impaled in the wall!), shelves dangled off the wall dangerously, and a puddle of crimson liquid dripped off the desk.
The smell of fresh blood hung in the air sickeningly. Blood stains splattered all over the desk, and from the puddle, streams of crimson ran steadily down the sides of it eerily. And in the puddle? Tyra. Let me rephrase that, Tyra's limp, lifeless body lying in a pool of blood.
Tears stung my eyes as I rushed toward her, scooping up her little body out of the nauseating fluid. Her backside was soaked and dripping, but that didn't matter, I HAD to know she was alive. I cradled her in my hands, trying hard to hold back the tears. Brice slowly traipsed in, eyeing me hopefully. "I-is she...?"
"I-I'm not sure," I choked. "W-where's Kay?" I asked, glancing around for the tiny kitsune.
"Gone! I looked everywhere! She just disappeared!" Brice cried.
"She can't be gone... wait a second!" A glint of metal caught my eye, I pointed down at it. Brice picked it up carefully, "Her glasses! A-and there's blood on them..."
I gazed back at Tyra, who was still out cold. Inspecting her, her only major wounds were a nasty claw mark in her forehead and a glass shard embedded in her side. I decided to keep that in, if I took it out she would lose more blood. The coolness of her skin wasn't a good sign either. 'She couldn't have bled that much. Where did all that come from?'
"Seto! Look!" Brice held up a yellow Post-It note, written on in messy red ink. 'Wait, that doesn't look like ink....'
Pushing the thought aside, I inquired, "What does it say?"
"'Don't mess with my prey again, this is a warning. ~AS
P.S. Do mind the blood. You're friend was awful violent, a shame she got in my way.'"
"I'LL KILL HIM!!!" Brice yelled, crumpling the paper and ripping it to shreds.
"Brice! Shut up! Someone'll hear you!" I warned.
"Aren't you mad? He hurt them! And he has Kay now! She might still be alive!"
"Of course I'm angry! But we can't just rush into this!"
"SETO. LISTEN TO ME." He grabbed my shoulders, staring at me like a maniac. "HE. HURT. TYRA. IF SHE'S DEAD, ITS HIS FAULT."
I held Tyra closer to me, "He did... but... we still don't know if she's really-"
"Are you coming or not? You're just gonna let an innocent creature die at the hands of that monster?! Or do you not care?!"
"Of course I care about her!"
"Then stop mourning and let's go before she's killed if not already!"
"Okay, okay! I'm coming! Just give me a sec!"
Brice left the room, huffing and steaming in anger. I had never seen him so mad. I can tell its not just Kay he's worried about, its Tyra as well. Tyra and Brice didn't get along very well, often fighting and bickering. But, they still clicked and became pretty good friends.
"I'm sorry," I whispered, setting her down on the desk where there was no blood. Tears continued to trickle down my face, right from my shattered heart. "I'm coming back, my love. I'm not giving up on you that easily..."
