Seto's POV
I smiled at my feat, watching the ookami crumple to the floor and clutch his head. He whined, then the sound emitting from his throat became a growl. Brice grabbed a singed wolf ear, "Shut up! What... did.... you... DO?!"
"Fine! You stupid humans are so STUBBORN!" Angel reached into his pocket, his emotion changing from angry to puzzled. "That idiot kitsune is gone!"
Brice's eyes flared. He grasped the wolf hybrid's throat tight and pulled his face close to his. "DON'T MESS WITH MY FRIENDS AGAIN!" he warned, slamming Angel's singed and beaten up face into the wall. The ookami fell to the ground as a bloody, burnt mess.
A whimper reached my ears, like a wounded animal, but higher pitched and innocent. I looked down, seeing a tiny figure lying in blood. Kay! Kneeling down, I noticed she was hurt terribly. Blood seeped through several wounds on her neck and arms, her tail in shreds.
She was curled up in a ball, shaking and wrapping her torn tail around her bloody body. I reached down to pick her up, but when I touched her, she screamed. At first I was confused, but realization slapped me. 'She doesn't have her glasses. So she can't tell its me.'
Kay's POV
I continued to lie on the frigid, tile floor, unable to move or run away. I shivered, both from the cold and complete fear. 'I'll just get stepped on, or eaten. I'm going to die, I can't move.'
The fuzzy shapes around me were moving fast, but I couldn't tell what was happening. All of a sudden, something soft touched me. I yelped and screamed at the top of my lungs, sure to myself it was Angel. "Just kill me now! I don't care anymore!" I yelled, blood spurting out my neck with every word.
"Shh..." a familiar voice whispered. "I'm not going to hurt you. Its me, Seto."
"S-Seto?" I quavered. "B-but how d-did you find me?"
"No time to explain, you need medical attention," he said, gently picking me up. I snuggled into his palm and sighed in content, "You're warm."
"Brice! I found her! Come here, she's hurt!" Seto called. I heard thundering footsteps coming toward us. "Thank God! Here, take her glasses," Brice answered in glee.
'They found my glasses? Yes! Sight!' Seto supposedly took them and placed them near me. "Can you see them?" he asked. "Seto, I'm near-sighted," I replied, snatching them up and slipping them over my nose. My friend's faces came into focus, "Are you okay?" Seto inquired. "I'm so sorry this happened."
"I don't think I'm okay, but I'm alive!" I smiled. "Thank you!" Out of happiness, I hugged his thumb, finally finding the ability to purr. Foxes don't really purr like felines, its just a sound similar to a purr.
"Wow, you really are adorable," he cooed, petting my ears with his finger. 'I thought I vowed NOT to do this... Oh well, too bad past self.'
"Stay down!" I heard Brice yell. Angel let out a whine, his body bleeding and blackened. Brice kicked him in the back, blood streaming out the ookami's torn up ear. I shrank back into Seto's palm, curling up in a ball.
"Brice! Leave him be, you're scaring Kay!" The blonde teen stopped immediately and walked over to us, "Did he hurt you?"
I nodded, "Y-yes, I can't move my leg..." A thought struck me. "Is Tyra okay?" Their smiles faded instantly at the mention, "I-I don't know..." Seto responded, his voice choking up with emotion. "We-we found her... but we don't know if she's unconscious or... o-or..." He didn't speak anymore of it, wiping away the oncoming teardrops raining from his caramel brown eyes.
Then they did something rather odd. His irises changed, from they're normal brown to a light turquoise color. The change made him look even more miserable.
'Oh no... What have I done?'
