Seto's POV
Nothing made sense anymore. Did I make a mistake when making the potion? Did something go wrong? Unless....
The gears in my head kept turning, hypothesizing any possible way she could be shrinking this much. Finally, I slapped my forehead in realization. Of course! It was an overdose! The entire bottle fell on her! Why didn't I think of that sooner?
Snapping out of my train of thoughts, my eyes landed on Kay, who was now on a shelf staring intently at a bright red potion.
"How'd you get up there? And... how'd you get in here?!" I inquired, taking note of how high she was off the ground. How could she have gotten into the closet with the door closed?
"I have my ways," she replied casually. The kitsune slid her legs off the shelf and let them dangle over the edge.
"That's kinda dangerous ya know..." I warned.
"I'm fine! Seriously, worry is your middle name!" Kay retorted.
I rolled my eyes, "Maybe it is. What are you doing here?"
"I'm bored!" she complained. "Brice is busy, Tyra's going through a phase, and you're just walking in circles!"
"Phase?"
"Oh, don't worry 'bout that. It happened to me when I first shrunk. She'll be fine as long as nobody messes with her."
"Well, I don't think I can fulfill your need of entertainment."
"Whatever," Kay muttered. "No one can fix my problems."
~Meanwhile~
??????'s POV
I urged myself to fly faster against the high winds. It might as well be a normal gust to everyone else. My wings ached, but if I stopped I'd be dead. The demonic laughter of my captor still rang in my ears, very distracting as I was creating a new flight pattern in my head. The forest was so indistinct though, but I've navigated through worse.
I took a sharp right, narrowly missing an oak tree and snagging my wing on a branch. Losing flight, I slammed directly into glass. Well, that was stupid.
Hot pain shot into my left wing. Biting back a screech, I pushed myself off the glass pane and onto the sill. I looked over my shoulder, seeing no one. He lost me.
A sigh of relief escaped my lungs, blowing a strand of brown hair out of my face. My wing was torn thanks to nature, so I was stranded.... on a window sill. Great.
The window was slightly open. At least I have a slight chance of survival. Maybe I could hide out here until this scratch heals.
"Or, you could be found and killed," a voice in my head slurred.
"Shut up, Raven."
I folded my wings and slipped through the narrow opening. The room was rather dull, with grey walls, tile floor, a desk and several shelves littered with books and glass bottles. A blonde teenage boy sat at the desk, boredly sketching with charcoal. If only I could draw again, I thought miserably.
I turned to see another glass bottle, filled with swirling violet liquid. The color matches His eyes...
I curled my tail around to look at the purple scales trailing across black, lost in thoughts. A potion I assume. A sorcerer must live here... a good one at that.
Suddenly, the atmosphere around me was replaced by glass. I peered up into the turquoise eyes of my new captor in shock. No way this just happened!
The teen stared at me in bewilderment while holding the glass cup down. There was no hint of fear or cruelty in his eyes, just confusion and... pity? This surprised me, it wasn't the usual response to my appearance.
I unsheathed my black claws and slashed at the glass. But despite my effort, my claws only left scratches and dents. The perks of being shrunken.
"Seto!" the teen called out. "We got a situation!"
