Alluka is an oddity. Alluka is tall and lanky. Alluka is comedic and kind. And Alluka is not a boy.

"Killua." She breathed a shaky breath, struggling to meet eyes with her older brother. "I...have something to tell you. It's really important. About me, our relationship as siblings, our religion. It's—"

"And that sounds great and all, but I have to head out. I'm getting lunch with a friend."

"But— But I just said it was really important. It is really important!"

"I'm sorry, Alluka, I have plans! Plus, we live together. Just wait till tonight. I'll see you for dinner."

Killua again brushed her off as he made his way to the front door. And Alluka almost let him leave before she realized that there would never be a "next time." Killua puts things off again and again and never makes a U-turn to come back for them because he's childishly selfish.

"You never pay attention to me anymore! This is fucking important, okay?!" She yelled.

Killua stopped. Alluka never really cusses or yells or does anything seemingly rude or insensitive. She's the pacifist of the family, and the only one who gives a shit about other people and their feelings.

Killua turned around.

"Okay. Sorry." He spoke quietly and sat down on the couch. "What did you want to say?"

"Okay..." Alluka breathed, trying to figure out how to go about this. "You, uh...I'm your brother, right?"

"Yeah..?"

"Well...I don't think— I'm not your brother anymore."

"If this is about your seven year old conspiracy that you're adopted—"

"I'm trans. Like...transgender. I'm a girl, not a guy. And...And I'd really appreciate if you could treat me as your sister and keep this from Mom and Dad. Do you— Do you think you can accept me—?"

"That's...too much to process right now. I'll, uh, get back to you this evening." Killua got up to walk to the door.

"So, what, that's it? You can't even tell me if you still love me? That's not fair!" She argued, sadness in the thickness of her voice.

"I have bigger problems than this right now, I don't want any new information." He glared.

"Bigger problems than wanting my gender identity to be supported by my older brother?!"

"I'm not having this debate— See you later."

Killua left through the front door and skated off to Morow's for a chocolate milkshake and a heart to heart with his brother, and Alluka, the oddity, was left in pieces.

Upon arriving to the diner, Killua let out a heavy sigh and tugged out his wired earbuds before entering and looking around for his brother who he quickly spotted talking with another customer. Which was definitely odd given the fact that Illumi wasn't exactly a sociable or interesting person to most people, so Killua was certainly intrigued. He leaned to the right, left, up on his tip toes and finally discovered the identity of the mysterious customer.

"Gon?" Killua meant to say in his head.

"Killua?" Illumi held a look of slight confusion.

"Er, so-sorry for the random, uh, appearance here. At your work. While you're working. Because that's what one does at work— I just needs to, uh, talk. To you." Killua sputtered as he struggled to carry his skateboard in his hands, his eyes never leave Gon's face. No one he knew ever talked to Illumi. Gon gave an awkward, shy wave.
