Thanks to the efforts of Swift, Calasear, Marie and Shrash - the conflict ended. And in 18 days Ashin and the Wizard Elders forged an alliance between their people. But not all the Elders agreed to this alliance, with their more short-sighted member locked up in Yltsom's dungeon. This left a position for a new member to join the Elders. There weren't many that had the qualities necessary to be an Elder. Good thing that Mari's teacher, Maximilian would temporarily take the postion until a permanent replacement would be found.
Shrash returned as a messenger to the Ruby Eyes but this time around they greeted him in a far more warmer way than he was used too. Ashin believed it was better to not make Shrash's 'future' public knowledge, that and with what Elisabeth informed them of her vision's progressive state.
As for Mari, she decided to remain with the Boars. Maximilian suggested this instead of his student returning home, so that she could stay at the Boars Forge to build positive relationship. It also helped that Mari knew someone who could act as her guardians.
As for Swift and Calasear, they were practising wind magic in front of the Dimauck household. Mari also had been helping in The M.A.-Sonic's knowledge and use of the mystic arts.
"Now how does one create a defence with wind?" Calasear questioned the blue Hedgehog on the usage of wind magic.
Swift sat crossed legged and quietly tried to figure out the answer. The two mammals were at this for a while, with Mari answering all of the basic knowledge, while Swift only got one of the questions right. This one he had the answer to as Swift spoke confidently. "You have to create a tornado, with yourself in the middle."
"Incorrect!!" Calasear exclaimed as he pointed his blades tip to Swift. This shocked the M.A.-Sonic. The living sword saw Sonic's confusion so he enlightened his student. "To be more accurate, what you said would work on projectiles like boulders and arrows. But it's not a complete defence, if someone or something were to mix fire into the tornado it would possibly burn you alive."
Swift face palmed himself. As for Mari she deeply looked up into the rocky ceiling in thought. The Racoon's face changed to look as if she struck gold while raising and waiving her left hand furiously in the air.
"Yes Mari?" Said Calasear, expecting a solution to the question he used many times in the past.
"The user has to create something that's akin to that of a whirlpool. This way, the user will be able to defend themselves but also deflect the attacks of their opponent." Mari proudly explained her logic with her hands on her hips.
Wise Steel praised the Wizard in training. "Well done, as expected from someone who came from Yltsom. Perhaps I should take my blue knave there so he can learn magic properly." He thought out loud.
Swift heard this and he had flash backs to all the rooms he witnessed. The Hedgehog was pretty sure he saw 200 classes with different subjects that went over his head. Which scared him almost as much as drowning in water.
"Please don't send me there, I'll do anything, just don't send me there!" Swift came close to his mentor while holding his hands in a begging gesture.
"Ahhhh..." Was Calasear's only response to his apprentices unexpected outburst, still trying to comprehend what he was seeing.
It seemed like time had stopped as nobody said a thing until they heard a certain growling that was universal to all living creators. Swift chuckled and rubbed his head while Mari just blushed from embarrassment. Calasear could see that the lesson with his 'students' had run its course, they needed to eat while he could only smell food. It was at times like this that made him envious of the people around him.
