Chapter 5 Falling in Love

The old minivan bounced up and down on the never ending road. Michael turned to Bella and smiled. She smiled back. Everything felt uncomfortable between them. Ever since Michael talked about them sleeping together they ignored each other. She wondered whether or not she should just tell him that she likes him back. Would it make things better or worse? She debated whether she should or not but after a few minutes she decided she would.

Bella pulled out her phone and quickly got to Michael's contact and started texting him.

"hey so we haven't really been talking for a while and I think it's because you said that we should sleep together. but I like you too. I know you're my step brother and this is really weird. I'm sorry I just couldn't tell you before but I think I might take up the offer because I can't stand a second with Karle and Julia"

She read it over a million times and then sent it to Michael. She looked at Michael in the car and waited until his phone went off. After a few seconds he turned to her and smiled widely. His smile lit up her world. She was dying inside but on the outside she just smiled back.

They were almost at the new house. Bella couldn't wait to get there and just talk about everything that just happened. She hoped that Michael liked her back and wasn't just trying to be thoughtful about the sleeping arrangements.

She was probably going to sleep in Michael's room tonight. She wasn't sure about it but when he asks her she will probably say yes without thinking.

The car came to a stop and her parents opened the car doors. They were finally at the new house. She quickly jumped out of the car and Michael followed her.

The house was so much smaller then her old house but it would be just fine. It was a light blue but the paint was barely on it. There was a brick missing from the stairs too. It needed a little bit of work but Bella new everything would be just fine.

Michael then whispered in her ear that he wanted to talk to her on the side of the house. Bella agreed and followed Michael around the house.

"Okay well we are siblings so you know it would never work out if we got in a relationship?" Michael questioned her.

"Yeah I know I wasn't saying that. I just wanted to let you know. I don't know if you even feel the same way." Bella spoke softly making sure her parents wouldn't hear.

"Bella I've loved you since the day we met. You always make me laugh and you're absolutely gorgeous." Michael answered her and smirked a little.

Bella and Michael agreed that they would go check out the house and talk more about this later. They started walking back to the front of the house.

"Wait!" Michael called for her since she was a little bit farther ahead. Bella walked towards him.

"Yeah?" Bella asked. Then out of nowhere Michael kissed her lips softly. Bella didn't kiss him back so he pulled away after a few seconds.

"Michael I really do like you but this won't work out. We can't have a relationship we would get caught." Bella explained. She darted inside to escape the conversation.

Michael followed after her with a disappointed look on his face.

Bella walked inside the old house and examined it from top to bottom. It needed a lot of work. "Bella I want to show you the bedrooms!" Bella's mom screamed from upstairs. Michael had already entered the house.

"You want to go check out the rooms?" She smiled innocently and waited for him to follow her upstairs.

"Okay so Bella you share a room with Karle and Julia and Michael gets his own." Bella's Mom told her.

Everybody left the room just leaving Michael and Bella.

"Are you going to consider sleeping in my room?" Michael asked Bella.

"Only if we make sure our parents don't find out." Bella exclaimed. Michael promised her that he would try his best. They went and looked at Michael's room. Both the rooms looked identical.

Bella felt uncomfortable around Michael because she would always find him staring at her. He was more sweet to her then ever.

Why did Michael have to be her stepbrother? Why did she like him so much? What was her new school going to be like? Why doesn't anybody like her? Why did her dad have to die? Why isn't her mother supportive? Bella's life was full of mysteries.

Bella started thinking about tomorrow at school. She wondered if she would make friends and if she would meet a sweet guy like Michael.

She needed school to go well. The only thing keeping her going is her stepbrother/ maybe boyfriend Michael.

After Bella ate dinner with her family she got ready to go to sleep.

She took a quick shower and brushed through her hair. She tied up her hair in a messy bun and put on a t-shirt and sweatpants. She walked into Michael's room quietly. He was still in the bathroom getting ready to go to sleep.

Michael walked out with no shirt and just shorts. "Sorry I didn't know you were already here." He explained as he put on a t-shirt.

He had really nice body Bella thought to herself. Michael climbed in bed next to her. Before turning off the light he kissed Bella's head softly.

Bella's heart started racing. She was sleeping with her stepbrother.

Michael turned off the bright light and the room darkened. They snuggled up next to each other. After saying good night to one another they feel asleep. That was the best night Bella has had in ages.
