"I stayed with her one night. I think she's fine alone for a day. I'll give her a break. Let her think about some stuff." Calum thought to himself while waiting for Bella to wake up.
Calum's mind raced. "She wouldn't do anything. Would she? I took away her blades so she can't self harm. The talk went better than I thought. She seems to be okay now. Or at least I think she's okay."
Bella's bright blue eyes slowly opened. Bella brushed back her strawberry blonde hair with her fingers. Her sparkly eyes adjusted to the lighting and then she began to sit up.
Bella stared into Calum's dark eyes and gave him a warm smile. "So what are you doing today?" Bella questioned.
"I think I'm going to leave you alone for a day. I think it's better for us to get a little alone time. What do you think?" Calum wrapped his arms around Bella's waist.
"I think you're right. That would be great." Bella smirked.
Bella and Calum got out of bed. Bella stretched and then made the bed. Calum rushed to the bathroom to quickly fix up his messy hair.
Calum stared into the mirror and frowned. He pressed the palm of his hand onto his hair. He smoothed out his black hair, making it look a little bit better. Then he exited the bathroom and made his way back to Bella's bedroom.
"Do you have everything?" Bella asked.
"I didn't bring anything." Calum laughed.
"Oh yeah." Bella walked towards Calum and pulled him into a tight hug. His muscular body rubbed against hers. Calum planted a soft kiss on Bella's head and then pulled away.
"I'll be back tomorrow." Calum smirked. He made his way out of her room and made sure to wave before he left. "Bye! I love you. See you soon." Calum yelled.
Bella listened for her front door to shut. As soon as the door slammed shut, she hurried to a small box that lay on her dresser.
Bella's fingers traced the small designs engraved in the wood. Her fingers traveled to the small gold lock. She popped open the lock and then swung the top open.
A grin appeared on her face when she looked inside. A sharp, fresh blade lay among unimportant objects. She reached into the wooden box and pulled out the shiny blade.
Then Bella sprinted over to her desk. She yanked on one of the handles and the tiny container opened. Bella lifted up a paper and then grabbed a small bottle underneath it.
The bottle was filled with bright pink pills. Bella gathered her blade and pills and dropped them on her bed.
She went back to the container for the paper. She lifted the white sheet of paper and placed it on her desk. She grabbed a black pen from the side of her desk and began to write.
Dear Calum
I love you so much. I will miss you more than I will miss anyone. This is the best thing for me right now. You didn't cause this at all. You are my world. I know that you want to help me but I think it's impossible. Thank you for always being there for me when other people weren't. You are the sweetest guy I have ever met. You are my world. I love you.Bella placed the note on her bed and picked up her pills and blade again. She headed to the bathroom.
Bella quietly closed the bathroom door behind herself. She set down the bottle and the blade on the counter. She took a deep breath and then reached for the blade.
She gripped the sharp object and brought it to her wrist. Without thinking she dug into her skin. Blood flew out of her fresh cuts and all over the bathroom. She continued line after line. First wrist. Second wrist. First thigh. Second thigh. She cut as much as she possibly could. She stopped when she had no more room. Happiness flowed through her body.
She finally decided to set the blade back down on the blood covered counter.
Then Bella picked up the bottle of pills. She flipped open the cap and poured about 10 into the palm of her hand. She's wasn't sure how much it took for her to kill herself. She was hoping that this was enough.
Her mouth opened wide and she brought her hand up. After a second, the pink pills were already being swallowed. Before she could process what happened, the pills were already taking over her body.
After what seemed like only seconds, Bella collapsed onto the floor. Her eyes went black and all feelings escaped her body.
Suddenly, there was a banging on the bathroom door. Bella heard the sound but stayed still.
Then a familiar voice yelled from the other side of the door. "Bella!"
Bella still couldn't see but she recognized the voice immediately.
It wasn't Calum's voice and it wasn't her mothers voice. It was none other than Michael Clifford's voice.
His powerful fists bashed against the door every few seconds. His voice was filled with fear. Bella couldn't do anything but wait to be found.
"I'm coming in!" Michael shouted. Bella could tell that he was crying. She didn't mean to worry anyone. Everything would be better if she was dead.
Michael kicked open the door. His eyes widened at the sight of Bella. Her lifeless body lay on the tiled floor. Michael got to his knees and checked if she was still breathing.
He realized she was. He rushed to throw her over his back. Then he stumbled out of the bathroom with Bella over his shoulder. He darted out of the house in a panic.
Michael flew towards his old car and threw open the door. Michael carefully placed Bella in the back seat.
Before Michael could close the back door, a voice came from down the street.
"What the fuck are you doing?" The voice screamed. Bella knew exactly who the voice belonged to.
"I swear I didn't do anything. Bella is dying." Michael cried.
Their footsteps got faster and louder. Bella could tell that the person didn't believe Michael. A fight was going to break out in a matter of seconds.
