Bella waited for Calum to pick up his phone. She started to doubt it was even his number. He finally did pick up and Bella was so relieved.
"Hey Calum!" Bella laughed.
"Hey what's up?" Calum questioned.
"Oh well I needed to talk to someone and I think I can talk to you." Bella replied.
"Oh okay what is it. I'm surprised you didn't go to Michael but I am always here to help." Calum gave her his full attention.
"Okay well I guess I'm just really upset about everything. I look into the mirror and I'm too ugly. I feel like when I'm with Michael I don't feel as special as I did when we first met. I feel like he's hiding something from me. I'm not positive but something is definitely wrong." Bella sighed and waited for Calum to talk.
"You're beautiful Bella. Michael seems like a great guy but I can't be positive he wouldn't do anything. Do what makes you happy!" Calum answered.
"It's just complicated. I don't want to talk to Michael at all right now. I don't know what makes me happy I have so many mixed emotions. You make me happy but you're to much of a jerk to me at school for me to have feelings for you." Bella took back what she said as soon as she said it. She didn't know how Calum would react.
"I'm sorry but I do like you. I don't know what to do anymore!" Calum cried. "I can't stand talking to you over the phone. Could you come outside?" Calum asked.
"I'm sorta just in a shirt and underwear but sure just give me a minute to get pants." Bella laughed.
"Okay I'll be waiting outside my house." Calum hung up the phone.
Bella didn't have much time to put on what she wanted so she just slipped on short shorts. It probably wasn't the smartest thing for her to wear considering it was really dark and cold outside. Bella honestly didn't care anymore.
She flew outside since she already left Calum waiting for a while.
"Holy shit! You're in fucking shorts! Are you crazy Bella!" Calum laughed and instantly ripped off his comfortable dark green jacket to hand to her. "I swear there is something about you!" Calum smiled.
Bella grabbed the jacket from Calum and thanked him. She was still shivering though.
"Want to go inside?" Calum asked.
"Nope I'm okay." Bella answered.
"Never mind it wasn't really a question. You're going to get hypothermia!" Calum screamed at her and laughed.
"I'm like half naked!" Bella told Calum.
"My Dad won't mind I bring naked girls in my house all the time." Calum chuckled. Bella gave him an uncomfortable stare. "Oh my gosh I was kidding!" He smiled and grabbed her closer towards him. "Sorry!" He shouted, realizing that she had a boyfriend.
"It's fine Calum. You make me warmer." Bella smiled and let him pull her closer again.
They walked into Calum's house. It was exactly like Bella's. "Hey Dad this is Bella she's the new neighbor." Calum smirked.
"Hello nice to meet you Bella!" Calum's Dad looked up from his newspaper and smiled.
"Okay want to go upstairs?" Calum questioned. It was obvious the question made Bella uncomfortable. Calum rolled his eyes along with a chuckle and guided her upstairs.
"I didn't want to say anything in front of my Dad, but I'm not going to rape you. A guy makes one mistake. Damn!" Calum shook his head.
"It was a huge mistake!" Bella laughed. Bella had a really good time hanging out with Calum. He reminded her of Michael but Calum had something that was special about him.
Bella was crazy. She falls in love with her stepbrother and a guy that is a jerk to her at school and a sweetheart when they are alone.
"Is everything alright?" Calum realized Bella was staring off.
"Is it possible that maybe you could ask your Dad if I could stay the night. I don't know I feel so much safer here. It's weird but I'm alone at home." Bella sighed.
"It's fine Bella. I would like some company too." Calum smiled. Bella was relieved that she was going to spend the night with Calum.
They walked back down the stairs to make sure it was okay with his Dad. His Dad said yes.
"Now I just need to call my Mom!" Bella's smile instantly faded. Calum could tell that something was wrong with her Mom and she was staying at his house for more then just the reasons she told him. Calum would protect her.
"Hey Mom?" Bella put it on speaker.
"What the fuck do you want!" Her Mom screamed. Calum's eyes almost flew out of his head. He wasn't used to hearing adults say that.
"Can I sleep over a friends house tonight?" Bella questioned.
"You know what you are probably hanging out with Michael again. Honestly I don't give a fuck about you anymore. I'm so done with you Bella. Go find somewhere else to live." Bella's Mom was obviously drunk. A tear escaped Bella's eye and Calum wiped it away.
"I think she's okay with it." Bella told Calum.
"Are you okay?" Calum asked. He was worried about Bella going back home to her Mom the next day.
"Yeah it's fine my Mom is just pissed off because my stupid little cousin Ashton found my step brother Michael and I making out on Thanksgiving. She got really upset and our parents are now getting a divorce." Bella tried to hold back her tears.
"Whenever you want to stay the night come over here." Calum welcomed her.
"One more thing." Bella stated.
"Yeah?" Calum asked.
"Don't ever tell Michael about this. He would kill me and you." Bella made Calum promise.
They got ready to go to sleep. "Hey is it okay if I sleep in your bed?" Bella asked before getting in. Calum smiled and shook his head yes. She jumped into his bed.
Calum finally joined her after getting ready and turned off the lights.
"Hey Bella?" Calum spoke.
"Yeah?" Bella asked and then turned over so she was facing Calum. Then out of nowhere Calum came towards her and pressed a soft kiss against her lips. He harshly pressed another one against her lips and let go a few times for a breath of air. Calum made her freak out inside. There was no doubt she had feelings for Calum.
Calum or Michael? Bella thought to herself.
