Saved (a Hayes Grier fanfic)

Chapter 25

I woke up to the sun rising and shinning in my eyes. I looked up at Hayes and he was awake. He looked down and smiled at me. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. I tried to fall back asleep but I couldn't. Hayes was tracing little patterns in my back and playing with my hair. I grabbed my phone and saw that Hayes tweeted me something after I fell asleep last night. I unlocked my phone and opened twitter.

"Spent one of the best nights of my life with this amazing girl @itssbeth." Under that was the picture he took of me looking at the ocean

I gave him a disappointed look and said "Really Hayes?"

"What?" He laughed. "You look amazing in it. " he said while brushing his messy hair out of his face.

"Hayes, I look bad, will you please take it down?"

"Nope" he said while getting out of the back of the jeep.

"Come on Beth, I forgot to tell everyone where I was taking you last night, they are probably wondering where we are" he said as he got in to the driver seat.

I crawled from the back, and over the seats rather than getting out. I joined Hayes in the front and he started the car. He pulled out of the parking spot and left the lookout point, which now had about two or three other cars in it. We started heading down the hill in a comfortable silence.

We stopped at a red light. Hayes let go of my hand and put his on my thigh. I looked up at him and couldn't help but smile. He looked back down at me. His eyes were a indescribable color. He looked loving, yet lustful. He bit lip and his eyes scanned up and down my body.

"Hayes!" I laughed then hit his arm, feeling somewhat self conscious. Before I knew it we were both leaning to kiss. Our lips barely touched when I heard honking. We both looked up and realized the light had turned green and people were honking at us.

"Oh shit" Hayes laughed then continued driving while people gave us dirty looks.

We pulled into the drive way, then into the garage. Hayes ran out from his side of the car to open my door for me. I thanked him and walked reached for the door handle. Before I could open it, Hayes grabbed my wrist and spun me around.

"Thanks for letting take you out on a date Beth." He said as he wrapped his arms around me and set his hands on my ass.

"Thank you for taking me out. I had a lot of fun" I reached up on my tippy toes and kissed his cheek. He pulled me back in and kissed my lips. Our lips moved in synch and he slipped his tongue into my mouth. Suddenly the door opened and we heard gasps. I pulled away and saw Ali, Shawn, Nash, Jack and Jack in the door way of the garage. Hayes now let go of me and was holding my hand when I broke the silence and said

"Uh hi guys."

"What the fuck Beth? We were just going out to look for you guys."

"I'm sorry guys, it's my fault" Hayes added

"Damn right it is. You did't think to call us back or text us?" She was now half screaming. She's like my mom. It's ok, I know she's protective. She just doesn't want me to get hurt. She's always keeping tabs on me, especially when were not together.

"Sorry mom" I laughed and pushed by everyone in the doorway and pulled Hayes.

"Fuck you to Beth" She yelled. Me and hayes ran up the stairs giggling. I pulled him into my room and locked the door. He laid down on my bed and I yelled from the bathroom " I'm getting into the shower, I'l be right out."

"Can I join you" he yelled back. I laughed and started taking off my clothes. I turned on the water and got in. I washed my hair and shaved my legs. I got out and wrapped myself in a fluffy towel. I walked out and saw Hayes watching netflix on my laptop. I scurried by quickly so Hayes wouldn't see too much of me in a towel. I open my closet door and walked in. I scanned my side of it. I threw on some leggings and one of Hayes' hoodies that he left in my room. I walked out and jumped on the bed next him. He was laying on his back with my laptop on his stomach. I got on my knees and moved the laptop beside me. I straddled his waist and leaned down to kiss him. My light kiss turned into a passionate one. I pulled away and slid off of him and he stared into my eyes.

"Beth?" he asked

"Mhmm?" sighed while getting under the covers with him.

" No matter what happens between us, I don't think I will ever get over you"

" Hayes, I don't know what I'm going to do when this summer ends. I know it's only two weeks in but whats going to happen when its over?"

"I don't even want to think about that" He said

I was laying on my stomach and picking at my hair. Hayes draped his arm over my back and his head was resting on my ass. This may sound bad but I am so in love with this boy and its only been a short period of time. I slowly started to fall asleep, exhausted from last night. I don't want this summer to end... ever. I just want to stay in California, with Hayes, forever.
