His Eyes

"Hayes!!!" Skylynn yelled. She ran from her chair and jumped in Hayes arms. He smiled and kissed her forehead.

Even though me and Ali weren't fans, we knew who all of then were. That's were Miss Elizabeth seemed familiar from, Ali and I ,have seen her appear in some of the boys videos and vlogs. The rowdy group of talkative boys that trailed behind Miss Elizabeth consisted of her sons Nash and Hayes Grier, Taylor Caniff, Carter Reynolds, Cameron Dallas, Jack Johnson, Jack Gilinski, Matthew Espinosa, Shawn Mendes, and finally Aaron Carpenter. Mine and Ali's jaws dropped in unison when we realized that MY mom was now besties and laughing away with the ELIZABETH FUCKING GRIER, birth giver of NASH AND HAYES FUCKING GRIER.

Skylynn ran back over to me and Ali and yelled " THESE ARE MY NEW BEST FRIENDS BETH AND ALI. THEY BOTH HAVE HORSES AND PRETTY HAIR. AND THEY ARE GOING TO TAKE ME RIDING SOON" she yelled making sure all the boys heard her. Me and Ali looked at each other and laughed and so did all the boys who now realized we were Elizabeth's friends daughters. She jumped on me giving me a hug in my chair.

We said hi to all the boys and we all introduced ourselves even though we already knew who they were and thanks to Skylynn they already knew our names.

After we all ordered our waters and sodas and I talked to Ali as we talked to Skylynn and we both put fishtail braids in her hair while she told us about how she wants 7 ponies for her birthday. Why 7? I don't know but if I learned one thing from babysiting it's that you do not question 5 year olds. Especially if they have more sass than most teenage girls you know.

"So what grade are y'all in?" Taylor asked us breaking the conversations between all groups. All the boys eyes were focused on us. But mainly Ali. I'm going to be honest, Ali is gorgeous. Like model gorgeous. She's tan, tall, super skinny, blonde and has amazing cheek bones. Any guy would be lucky to have her. I however am not. I'm just plain and basic. Not to mention I hate the way I look. I'm fat and I'm just not pretty. Especially next to Ali.

I hate attention being on me so I just looked down. "I'm a sophomore" Ali replied in her confident voice. I get really shy around new people .Especially if the are famous for god sake. "I'm a freshman" I replied in my quiet, unsure voice.

"Me too" replied Hayes who I didn't even know was sitting across from me. I just looked up at him and smiled. Just then, when our eyes met, I felt something I have never felt before in my life. I looked into his eyes which looked like Artic water pools, covered in thin sheet of ice.

I know I'm only 14 but I've only actually thought "I need to be his" or " oh my gosh there's so and so do you think he likes me? Oh god I get butterflies whenever I see him" about one person ,and that relationship ended very badly.

Wait what am I talking about I don't feel that way about Hayes. I don't even know him. And besides why would Hayes Grier even like a girl that looks like me.

I get pulled from my thoughts when the waiter asked me what I wanted to eat. " Um I'm actually good thanks though" he gave me a quick nod and left the table. I look around and Ali was talking with the Jacks, Taylor, Aaron, Nash and cameron. They were obviously flirting with her and she didn't seem to mind. Carter, Matthew and Shawn were having a conversation about some sports team. Then I look across at Hayes, who had Skylynn sitting on his lap. They were coloring unicorn pictures together and were having a quiet conversation that I couldn't hear. Every so often he would say something that would make her giggle or whip her heads round to look at him and say " really???" And he would nod and say "seriously!" Trying to convince her of something. Then he would laugh and smile when she turned back around again. He was so sweet to her and it was so cute. Then she said sassily "No Hayes! You're lying!!!!" " No I'm not I swear!!" He said laughing. The I found myself laughing and he must've heard because he looked up at me smiling with his piercing blue eyes.
