I might still love him

I looked at Ali and saw she was cuddled into jack. I noticed her phone in her hand and texted her.

Ali💕: Brandt's in big sur

Was all I texted her. She immediately looked at her phone, then up at me with a worried look. She got up and I knew she wanted me to follow her.

"Where are you guys going?" Cameron asked

"Uhh girls problem be right back" Ali said and we ran up to our room.

We walked in and I closed the door behind us. She took out her phone and put it to her ear.

"What are you doing?"

"Calling Brandt now shhhh" I knew Ali wasn't scared of Brandt.

She put it on speaker phone.
"Hello?" I heard the familiar voice that I once loved, still loved
"Brandt, it's Ali."
"Oh hey Ali" I could practically hear him smirk.
"Dude what are you doing in big sur, you know you hurt Beth and she wants nothing to do with you"
"Well I have family in big sur, but I really just want to talk to Beth. I need to apologize... again, I want her back Ali."
"Well that's not going to happen Brandt. Beth can't forgive you"
"What ever Ali, I'll see you later"
"No you wont"

And with that they hung up.

"Ali, what if I want to meet up and talk with him!"

"Beth!! Are you crazy?! This is the guy that started you with all the bad things you do, left you in the dust, and worst of all, beat you shitless!!" She practically screamed

"You don't understand Ali, he's changed I know it"

"Someone hurt you Beth?" Hayes said. I turned around to see all the boys standing at our door.

"Uhm no it's nothing don't worry about it" I said

"No, it is something. Beth's ex boyfriend is in big sur and wants to meet up with Beth because he wants them to get back together. and this idiot wants to meet up with him because he has "changed" she said pointing to me putting air quotes around changed.

The boys walked in and sat down.

"Beth, he hasn't changed, if he beat you once he will do it again" nash said

"That's the thing, he's beaten her more than once. he's the one that got her started with drinking and smoking and then left her there half-conscious after he beat her.... again. " Ali added

I was so embarrassed. I knew that Brandt had changed and I knew I still loved him. I wanted to meet up with him.

I looked around and all of the boys looked really sad and sympathetic

"How could someone hurt someone so beautiful and caring, and kind like you!!??" Shawn asked a little too angry sounding.

"Shawn it's not a big deal" I smiled at him

"YES IT IS BETH" cameron yelled "HE CANT HAVE TREATED YOU LIKE THAT AND JUST GET AWAY WITH AND WANT YOU BACK LIKE NOTHING HAS HAPPENED"

"He's changed I promise," I started but wasn't really sure what else to say to convince them. I was going to meet up with Brandt, I never stopped loving him and I know he has never stopped loving me.

"I won't meet up with him, don't worry guys. Let's just forget about this and get some sleep because it's been a long day and we are going to have a beach day tomorrow" I lied and tried to convince them everything was ok.

"Ok well goodnight guys, Beth I don't want you talking to that but Brandt guy anymore, ok?" Aaron said

"Ok don't worry I was just being stupid" I smiled the boys all kissed us on the forehead or on the cheek then left.

"Thanks Ali, that was soo embarrassing it made me look..... I don't know,it made me look weak" I said while laying down on my window bed.

"Beth... I'm sorry I was just frustrated that you even thought about giving Brandt a second chance."

"It's fine, goodnight Ali"

"Goodnight"

I then got on my phone and texted Brandt

Me: let's meet up at the beach tomorrow, I want to talk

Brandt: ok beth, you know I still love you. I'm glad you're giving me a second chance

Me: I love you too, I'm going to get away from Ali and the boys tomorrow so let's just meet at the restaurant on the board walk.

Brandt: ok. What boys Beth??

Me: I will tell you everything tomorrow. Ali can't know that we are meeting up

Brandt: ok see you tomorrow😘 sweet dreams beautiful

And with that I locked my phone and fell asleep.
