Chapter 28

My eyes fluttered open and I looked around. I was in a hospital room. A place that was I was too used to by now. I was on a hospital bed, and wearing a hospital night gown. I looked to my left and saw a three familiar faces. My mom and Miss Elizabeth were sitting on the couch beside me. My mom had her head in her hands and was sobbing. Miss Elizabeth was rubbing her back.

"Mom?" I tried to say but it came out more as a quiet mumble.

"Beth!" She yelled, shocked. " I was so worried." She kissed my forehead.

"Hi" I smiled.

"Hey sweetheart." Miss Elizabeth smiled "You are such a trooper" she squeezed my hand.

"I'll go get the doctor" she said and left the room quickly.

I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. I went over the events that had happened earlier.

Me and Ali were pushed into a van.

The man took us to his house.

He locked me into a room without Ali.

He took me outside and was about to put me in his van again.

The police came.

They arrested him

I was shot in the stomach

I lost a lot of blood.

They couldn't find Ali when they took me to the hospital.

My mom rushed back into the room and said "the doctor will be in here as soon as he can, and if you feel dizzy, let us know and we will call him" she said as she brushed my hair off my forehead

"Where's Ali?"

"Well we aren't sure yet. None of the boys are answering their phones but they are suppose to be at the hospital at twelve. They are with the police and hopefully will tell us if they found her or not when they come"

"Wait, we left for the beach at like, eleven thirty"

"Beth sweetheart, you went into surgery and were asleep. It's the next day." my mom said kindly.

"So you're telling me it's been a day and they still haven't found Ali?"

"Well, um, yes"

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?"

"Calm down hun, they are still looking and hopefully they found her. We don't know"

"Oh my god" I sighed. How far could they have gone in that short amount of time?

"Miss Elizabeth, Miss Katie and I flew out last night when the boys called us and told us what happened."

Miss Katie is pretty much my second mom. Ali's mom and my mom are best friends. We have FaceTimed our moms multiple times and every time they were all three hanging out. It seemed to us that the were all inseparable.

"Miss Katie was here this morning to check on you but left soon after to go with the cops to look for Ali again."

Just then Hayes, Shawn, Aaron, Nash, Carter, Jack Johnson, and Gilinsky walked in. Hayes immediately hugged me. He looked drained and pale and had a bandage wrapped around his arm.

"Hayes are you ok?" I asked

"Beth," he laughed "you just got shot in the stomach and lost most the blood in your body and you're asking me if I'm ok?"

I smiled and kissed his cheek.

All the boys came up and hugged me. There was a terribly sharp pain shooting up and down my stomach.
"How are you feeling?" Shawn asked me.
