"This isn't a good sign..." You muttered as you dragged your feet through the hallway, worried at the object that laid on the ground before you.

On the same day that the President had met with Fitzgerald, Kenji vanished. Everyone assumed he had to leave because his cow was going into labor again, but his vanishing was still unlike him. He would have given you a notice and told you what was going on before leaving the office at the very least. Now, what you saw confirmed your suspicion.

You slowly walked up to the small straw hat that lay on the cold ground before picking it up with your hands. Your heart stopped as you remembered how the President had given the agency a warning that the Guild might attack soon since he didn't accept their business proposal. All of this could only mean one thing.

Kenji had vanished, and more people would soon follow.

The next day felt a bit weird to be honest. The first thing that would happen in the morning at the agency (other than Dazai's daily suicide attempt) was the optimistic farmer, Kenji, skipping through the doors to announce the weather and all of the latest news on his farm. He brightened up the room every day and could even make Fukuzawa break his normal stone cold face and smile. He brought the sunlight into the room every day.

But now, all you could hear was the click-clacking of keys on work computers. Dazai, Kyouka, Atsushi, Junichiro, Naomi, and other office workers were the only people there. Their faces were glued to their screens (or guide to suicide in Dazai's case). There was no Kenji in sight.

Gulping, you silently placed the straw hat you had picked up yesterday on his desk. To you, Kenji was like a little brother. Now that he had been missing for over twelve hours, it felt as if you were temporarily losing a part of your family. It's only temporary though, you tried to tell yourself, believing that any second he'd burst through the door and warn you of all the thunderstorms coming ahead.

"Kenji still isn't back?" Junichiro immediately raised his head when you set the hat down on his seat.

"Yeah, I'm honestly starting to get worried about him. The last time he was seen was escorting Fitzgerald and the other two Guild members outside of the building," you explained, turning to the concerned detective.

He didn't say anything in return. He only reached over to grab Kenji's straw hat and look at it. After a few moments of silence, he murmured, "I wonder what happened to him..." Then his head jolted up as he exclaimed, "wait! Do you think anyone else is in danger too?"

Rolling your eyes, you sighed, "Naomi will be fine. I know how protective you are of her."

"N-no," Junichiro mumbled, "I'm worried about-." He then stopped, a shocked expression crossing over his face. Who was he worried about? It couldn't be...
