Meadow groaned in pain as she rolled over in her bed, pulling her blanket over her to cover her eyes from the sun beaming through the window. She exhaled heavily as she peaked out from under her blanket to see a full glass of water on her beside table, next to it sat 2 painkillers. She pushed herself up slowly before grabbing the glass in one hand and the pills in another. She threw them down her throat before throwing back the water. She threw her legs round so they were dangling off the side of her bed. She placed the glass back down to get to her feet as she approached her desk, unzipping her backpack as she rustled through it for her phone. She pulled it out. 13%. She exhaled heavily at the sight of her notifications. 100+ unread messages. 2 missed calls Dec. 5 missed calls Nicole. 1 missed call mom. She placed it face down on her desk as she rustled through her bag before pulling out a napkin, she flipped it over. There was something written on it.

I don't have all the answers but here's my number if you're stuck in a dark place or need me to rescue you again - Keegan.

Meadow's cheeks warmed up slightly as her eyes danced across her phone number over and over. She felt like she was in a movie. Her moment was swiftly interrupted by the sound of her phone vibrating on her desk. She put down the napkin to pick up her phone, answering the call without looking at who it was.

"Hello?"

"Finally! I've been trying to call you since last night! Where were you!?" Nicole ranted down the phone. Meadow rolled her eyes, walking towards her bedroom mirror to look at her dishevelled hair.

"I was asleep." She lied as she ran her fingers through the tangled mess on her head. Leaning in to glance at the smudged mascara on her face.

"I know you're lying but I don't have time to argue with you about it."

"What do you want Nicole?" Meadow hissed as she sighed heavily.

"Declan told me what happened. What's going on with you two?" Nicole asked. Meadow took a step back as she narrowed her brows in a frown. Why were her best friend and boyfriend talking about her sex life behind her back. What else had been said?

"What the fuck Nicole!? Why are you talking to MY BOYFRIEND about our sex life!? Worry about yourself instead of getting into my business!" She snapped back at her as she stormed back and forth across her room.

"Woah, don't snap at me like that! I'm just trying to help you! You don't want him thinking you're a dyke or something!" Nicole hissed back at her. Meadow stopped in her tracks, biting her tongue to avoid escalating the argument further.

"Why would he think that?"

"Because, you aren't active with him like you used to be! He's gunna think something is going on!" Nicole hissed back. Meadow rubbed her temple in frustration as she exhaled through her nose.

"I don't have time for this, I gotta work." Meadow sighed as she opened her closet in search of something to wear.

"Fine, we'll come back to this when you're free!"

"Whatever Nicole." Meadow snapped before swiftly hanging up the call before Nicole could say anything further. She tossed her phone onto her bed as she continued to search for something to wear. She threw on her shirt for work then slipped into her jeans along with her converse before tying her hair up in a messy bun. She grabbed her backpack and phone in a rush before hurrying out the door.

A loose strand of hair fell in front of her face as she focused her attention on typing Keegan's phone number into her phone. Brooke quietly pushed open the door, stopping in the doorway as she watched Meadow. She then smiled as she slowly crept up behind her, taking a glance over her shoulder.
