Aidan opened the apartment door with a creak as Keegan entered with a heavy sigh, rubbing her temple in frustration as Aidan closed the door behind her.

"How is she?" He asked as he locked the door securely. Keegan pulled off her jacket, tossing it on the sofa as she lifted the bottom of her already soaked shirt to wipe the rain from her face.

"She's fine, Heidi's staying the night with her. How's bambi?" She asked in response as Aidan simply opened the bedroom door to allow Keegan to peak in at Meadow fast asleep in her bed. A warm smile crept onto Keegan's face as she felt herself feel lighter from just seeing Meadow's face. Aidan closed the door quietly as he then reached to grab Meadow's phone from the coffee table and place it in Keegan's palm.

"We have another problem.." He sighed as Keegan unlocked it to gaze at the text, a sigh of frustration escaping her lips as she gritted her teeth. She placed the phone back on the table as she dropped down onto the sofa, holding her head in her hands.

"Fuck.." She sighed, Aidan sat down beside her as he threw his arm round her shoulder. He pulled her in, kissing the top of her head for comfort as her shoulders dropped with ease as she leaned into him. She lay her head on his shoulder, Aidan pulling her in close to him.

"It's gunna be okay." He reassured her, Keegan shook her head for a moment as she then lifted her head to look at him.

"What if I can't do enough to keep her safe? What if this goes beyond...everything?" She stammered, Aidan exhaled for a moment as he looked back at her.

"We've survived worse. You've kept her safe for how long already." He reassured her with a gentle smile. Keegan's eyes filled with tears as she buried her face in his shoulder, Aidan wrapping his arms round her tightly as she cried into his shirt. She was used to letting her guard down around him, they were practically family. He leaned down to kiss the top of her head for comfort.

Meadow groaned under the covers as she rolled over to see Keegan fast asleep beside her with her arm wrapped round her. She smiled as she snuggled into her before suddenly being interrupted by the sound of her phone vibrating on the kitchen counter. She dived from the bed, almost slipping across the wood floor as she quickly dived to answer it.

"He..Hello?" She answered with a yawn before being met with a heavy exhale down the phone.

"Meadow.."

"Mom?! What the hell do you want?" She asked in shock, sitting herself at the counter comfortably. She could already feel her mom's frustration through the phone screen as she awaited her response.

"I'm just calling about the Christmas event. I need to make arrangements now since Declan is sadly no longer in the picture." She sighed heavily in response, Meadow rolled her eyes with a groan from the sound of the heavy sighs down the phone. As if the break up had inconvenienced her mom more than it did her.

"Oh I'm still invited? I'm shocked." Meadow replied sarcastically as she heard her mom smack her lips together in a tch.

"I can't deal with your attitude right now Meadow. Are you bringing a plus one or not?" Her mom queried as Meadow got to her feet, quietly peaking into the bedroom at Keegan still fast asleep in the bed. She turned back towards the kitchen with a smile.

"Yeah, I'll be bringing a date." She replied with a smirk, hearing the sigh of relief escape her mom's lips.

"Well I'll sort that now. Goodbye." Her mom added before hanging up the call. Meadow quietly chuckled to herself as she placed her phone back on the kitchen counter. She jumped with surprise at the soft slow movements of Keegan's hand down her chest before wrapping her arms round her in a gentle embrace.

"What's got you so cheery?" Keegan asked, nuzzling her face into the side of her neck. Meadow happily leaning into the embrace.

"You of course." She replied playfully as she spun round to face her. Keegan chuckled at her response as she rested her hands on her waist before her eyes glanced at the mark sitting on the right side of her neck. She chuckled out loud as her fingertips ran across the bruise on the side of her neck.

"Oops, my bad." She chuckled as Meadow spun round to grab her phone to glance at her reflection. Her eyes glanced at the bruise sitting on her cheek as her cheeks began to warm up with a blush.

"I haven't had a hickey since senior year!" She stammered, her cheeks blushing bright red. Keegan continued to chuckle at the flustered look on her face before leaning in to kiss both her cheeks softly.

"It's fine, I wouldn't worry." She reassured her as Meadow sighed with relief. She buried her face in Keegan's chest comfortably. Meadow then let out a heavy sigh as she pulled away before disappearing into the bedroom. Keegan happily followed behind her as she leaned against the brace of the door with a playfully smirk on her face. Meadow got dressed into some of Keegan's clothes as she then folded her halloween costume neatly before placing it in the closet.

"You don't have to worry about it being tidy, my place is already a mess."

"I'm not just gunna leave my stuff lying around!" Meadow snapped back as she threw a baggy hoodie on over her head. Keegan crept up behind her as she wrapped her arms round her in a tight embrace.

"Want me to walk you home?" She asked as she buried her face into her messy red hair. Meadow smiled happily as she leaned into the embrace.

"Yes please!" Meadow smiled in response as Keegan then let go of her to quickly get dressed. Meadow left the room to grab her phone from the kitchen counter. Keegan adjusted her jacket as she emerged from the room ready to go. Meadow slid her phone in her pocket before following Keegan out the apartment.
