You guys spent most of your time together at Nia's. Don't get her wrong she loved it, hell it was the best day whenever you were there but she realised that she's never seen your house or apartment.

She didn't even know if it was a house or apartment, that's how much you avoid talking about it. Anytime anyone brings it up you either ignore it or shut it down immediately.

It made her curious. I mean as a reporter she's always curious, but this made her slightly scared and worried as well.

She thought that you guys were making progress in the relationship and she honestly wanted to believe that it was a reason other than you weren't serious about your relationship with her.

She made a mental note to ask about it later tonight when she sees you. She tried to work peacefully but her earlier realisation made it hard to concentrate on anything but that.

She sighed in frustration as she couldn't get the you out of her head- which Kara heard whilst walking pass Mia's desk.

"Everything ok?" She asked a little concerned as Nia shot her head up.

"Yeah, yeah, it's nothing" Nia said with a small smile.

But Kara being Kara could see through Nia. I mean they are scarily similar.

"You sure?" Kara asks and Nia gives up.

"It's just, have you ever seen Y/n's... " She trailed off trying to find the right words. "Space of living" She said in the only words she could think off.

Kara sighed. "Yes, but there's a reason she keeps that part of her life hidden away. I'm sure she'll show you when she's ready" Kara said and gave Nia a smile as she went to her office.

Nia let out a long exhale before continuing her work. She really hoped Kara had been right.

The day couldn't have gone any faster for Nia. She wanted nothing more than to see you and hope that you answer her question.

It made her nervous to think about it but in the end if she didn't she would chicken out in the last minute.

She patiently waited for you to knock on the door of her apartment and as soon as a knock was heard she ran to the door.

She opened it revealing you and a bunch of snacks in a packet in your hand.

"Evening" You said with a bright smile on your face and you entered the apartment placing the snacks on the counter and giving Nia a peck on the cheek.

"Hi" She said as she watched you start on the popcorn.

You could tell Nia was acting different for the past couple days and it killed you not knowing what was happening.

"Everything ok?" You asked and you noticed her tense up slightly.

"I-uh, I wanted to ask you if we could maybe go to your place next time?" She asked and you placed the bowl of popcorn down and sighed.

"Look Nia. I like you a lot but my home isn't really a place I show everyone. " You said.

"We've been dating for almost a year and I though we were making progress" She said.

"I know and we are but maybe another time" You replied but Nia wouldn't give it up. Hey at least you didn't ignore or change the subject.

"Is it me? Or is there someone else?or anything else?" She asked and that made you angry.
