You just entered the bar and as soon as you got to the counter your drink was in front of you. You chuckled.

"You know me too well man" You said.

"You've been a good customer and an even better employee" Al said.

You fell into conversation with the man for the next hour and by then the bar was packed.

"You sure you don't need any help?" You offered again.

"Believe it or not, Y/n but I was okay before you started working here" He said and you held you hand over your heart showing fake offence. You laughed.

"Go enjoy your night off and don't worry about me. Who knows maybe you'll get lucky" He said.

"Okay, maybe you know too much about me" You both laughed before grabbing your drink and heading to the pool table. You greeted the people around it and watched and waited.

When they were done you reset the table and grabbed a pool cue. Multiple people played against you and lost so much so that people started betting against you for their friends to beat you, but it never happened.

Just as you were about to retreat to the bar and give others a chance, the most angelic voice you've ever heard spoke.

"You up for one more game?" You turned to face the person and grabbed the cue again.

"One game won't hurt" You said with a smirk. You began resetting the table and most people scatteted across the bar were looking, hoping the redhead would end your streak of luck.

//////

Ten minutes later and you were already stood with only the 8-ball left. People began to gather around the table. It was your shot, a clean and clear shot into the upper left corner would garuntee you the win.

You looked at her and looked back at the ball with a smirk. You shot and just very slightly missed the cor er causing everyone to let out yells of pure shock.

Alex took the final shot sending the ball into the lower left pocket ending the match.

"Well looks like your luck has run out" She said putting the pool cue back into place. You took you wallet out and took out what you owed her because you told her that 100 says you win the match.

"Not entirely" You said.

"How so?" She asked.

"Well...I'm talking to you right now, aren't I?" You said as you took a sip of your whiskey. She chuckled slightly.

"So, how about I buy you a drink?" You asked.

Alex sighed her options.

On one side, she would be ditching her sister and friends but on the other hand, you were extremely attractive and they wouldn't mind that much, would they?

"Sure" Alex finally answered.

//////

Five drinks in and you had learned each other's names, spoke about the stuipdest things and had a few deep topics thrown into the mix.

"Well, Alex. I have to say you're something , nobody has beaten me in pool or gotten me to buy them a drink that fast" You said making her laugh.

"I'm serious" You said laughing with her.

Just then a tall, blonde woman approached the both of you.

"Hi" She said.

"Hi" You said back.

"We're headed home, I'll see you tomorrow?" The woman said talking more to Alex now.

"Yeah, okay. Bye, Kar" She said and the blonde waved at her with a small smile with the redhead reciptocated.

"Where were we?" She said and you both fell back into conversation like it hadn't ever stopped.

Weeks passed and eventually it turned from just hanging out at the bar to hanging out at either your or her apartment. Nothing was official h
but you both secretly wanted it to be.

Currently you were in hers, watching a movie together as you criticised some of the stupid decisions characters had made.

When the movie ended, you gathered your things and as you were gathering them she spoke.

"Y/n?" She said making you halt your actions.

"Yeah" You said with a small smile.

"These past few have been amazing, don't get me wrong ,but I was wondering..." She trailed off uncertainty covering her facial expressions.

"What we were?" You suggested and she nodded nervously. "Me too"

Her face lit up slightly at the thought of you having the same feelings as her.

"We are... whatever you want us to be, Alex" You said with a small smile that she reciprocated.

"So, will you be my girlfriend then?" She asked and you nodded.

"Yeah" You said simply before she pulled you in for a kiss.

///////

A few weeks later and you were both in your apartment cuddled together on the couch watching another movie with a multitude of snacks on the table in front of you.

About halfway through the movie, Alex's phone started ringing. Kara's name lit up the screen.

"It's Kara" She said sitting up straight as you paused the movie. "Hey"

The conversation went on for a few minutes before Alex was back in your embrace.

"What was that about?" You asked

"Just game night, Kara's wants it to be tomorrow instead of Saturday" She said.

"She actually said I should invite you, they wanna get to know the girl I'm with" She said.

"I'd love to go" You said and the comfortable silence resumed as you watched the movie, both of you smiling to yourselves.

//////////

Days later and you were sat with Alex in Kara's apartment. You guys had already played a few games and got to know one another. Kara hadn't been the only one to threaten you that night about hurting Alex.

It scared you but at the same time you were grateful that so many people cared for her as much as you did.

After Lena had won almost every single game ,you guys moved onto talking.

The laughter had just died down from some stupid joke Brainy had made when Lena asked.

"Okay, okay. I'm gonna go ahead and ask the question everyone wants an answer to, Y/n...." She trailed off, everyone's attention on you.

"Did you or did you not tank the shot the first night you met Alex?" Lena asked and a series of 'oooh's' was heard a around the room.

You stayed silent with a guilty smile on your face and Alex scoffed whilst the other started laughing.

"In my defense, I was really distracted by the competition" You said even though it was a lie. You had 100% tanked the shot just so you could have an excuse to talk to her.

"I hate you" Alex said.

"No, you don't" You said giving her a smirk.

//////

Later that night you were back at your apartment because it was closer to Kara's than Alex's.

"You didn't actually tank the shot, did you?" She asked.

"Believe what you what to believe, love" You said with a mischievous smirk plastered on your face as you disappeared into your room to change.

Alex was left there thinking and you were silently laughing at her in your room.
