Both you and Cal were in the Burns' front garden, laid on a blanket looking up at the stars and talking.

"So what's up with you and the Fairmont girl? The tension between the two of you is sky rocketing" You said as you turned your head to face her.

"Honestly I don't know, I mean she's a vamp and I'm a hunter, were sort of destined to kill one another" You heard Cal say.

"I mean, that's true but did you know that Sebastian Fairmont, Juliette's dad, was a human and her mother turned him against her family's will so she could be with him" You said and looked at her shocked expression.

"Yeah I know, apparently she was supposed to marry this other Davenport dude, I can't remember his first name" You said.

"Well that's...interesting" She said slowly and you nodded. "How do you know all this?" She asked and a mischievous smirk made it's way onto your face.

"A little stray birdie told me, all I had to do was ask" You said and she furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.

"Oliver Fairmont, twin of Elinor Fairmont and older brother to Juliette Fairmont" You said.

"Elinor convinced her parents that Oliver was psychotic and they sent him away, Juliette has seen him a few times and knows of his existence but only the bad stuff" You stated.

"I truly feel sad for him" You said.

"Why would he tell a hunter all of this?" She asked.

"Well let's just say that he's not big on protecting his family, unless of course it's Juliette" You explained.

"I would be the same if my family did that to me" Cal said with a hint of anger behind her words.

"So does any of that help with ,you know, your little crush?" You asked and she hit you playfully and you just laughed.

"It's not a crush, if anything she is gonna be my first kill" She stated and you have her a skeptical look.

"Yeah you tried that the first time, didn't go so well" You said with a mocking tone which made her hit you, and not playfully this time.

"Shit that hurt!" You said rubbing your shoulder. She stifled a laugh. You guys went back to starring at the stars with a few minutes of comfortable silence that you broke.

"If you like her, I say go for it" You said and she looked at you weirdly. "I mean it Cal, if she makes you happy why shouldn't you? I mean I would kill for something like that. Just remember that I'm a thousand percent by your side, always" You said.

"Thanks Y/n" She said with a smile making you smile.

"Y/n, Cal" You both heard the sound of Theo's voice call. "Dinner's ready" He said with a warm smile.

"Be right there" You said reciprocating the smile.

After Cal found out about Juliette being a legacy and well exposing who the legacies is Savannah are, the Burns have had guests, The Franklins, well more of good friends.

You guys folded the blanket and went inside to eat. Dinner went as it usually would, laughter and voices all around the table.

"Unfortunately I have to go, but I will see you tomorrow?" You asked and Cal nodded. You hugged her quickly.

"Night" You said leaving.

Cal closed the door and then turned to go to her room to find Tess, her other best friend/ex, at the foot of the first step with a smirk on her face.
