Chapter 32

It's a new day!

After taking a bath I went downstairs and see my parents. Mom is preparing Aiver's lunch bag while my Dad is cleaning his car. I saw Aiver is sitting in the couch watching his favorite cartoon which is Trolls.

"Hug time!" I exclaimed and sit beside him. He widely open his arms to me so I quickly hug him. "Continue watching it later okay. We need to go to school na." I said and luckily he nodded. I switched off the tv and we grab some breakfast.

Dad sends us to school before he went to his office. I took a coffee on a vending machine before I enter the school and then I saw Ryssi came down from their car. "Ry." I called and she waved her hands.

"What time first class mo?" she asked. "Ngayon palang magbibigay ng sched 'e." I answered. Lagi silang ganito late magbigay ng schedule kaya nakakainis kasi ang hassle. "Can you do me a favor?" nahihiyang sabi niya. I smiled at her.

"Oo naman." I said and she hold my hands. "Late na kasi ako sa first class ko. Can you excuse Devon in his class?" she said so I  nodded. After that she thanked me and quickly run to the annex building.

I went to the billing and get my schedule. I only have 5 subjects and my first class is at 10am. I went to the faculty and look for Ma'am Divine, the adviser of Stem 4. Her table is on the middle and a lot of students are talking to her. I cleared my throat "Excuse me po." I uttered and most of them make space for me.

"Thanks." I said then smile at them. "Good morning, Ma'am." I greeted and she nodded. She's one of my subject teacher when I was in grade 11 and she's so intelligent. "Good morning, Aziel." she greeted back.

"Ma'am, I just want to excuse Devon Rivero. His brother died po kasi last Saturday." I said and she was surprised then sadness quickly painted on her face. "So sad to hear that. Sige excuse ko na din siya sa mga subjects niya. Thank you, Aziel." she said and forced a smile.

"Thank you din po, Ma'am." I replied and leave the faculty room. I decided to go on my classroom and waited for my first class. I saw some of my classmates are already there. Minutes have passed when Bonjour entered the classroom and seated next to me.

"What did you do inside the faculty?" he asked that made my forehead creased. "How did you know?" I asked him back. Stalker na din ata 'tong rich kid na ito. "Nasa billing ako kanina, I saw you." he answered and I just nodded.

"I excused Devon in his class." I said and he just say 'oh' then put on his airpods.

Our first class teacher came and she introduced our topics for the whole semester. She also had our class attendance and she called us one by one. We're 57 in our class and only 50 are present, some of my classmates are absent while the others are excuse like Dwayne. He is not here and one of his friends said that he's still on a business trip with his parents.

We still have few hours but our subject teacher just dismissed us to have our early lunch. After I pack up my things Bon asked me to grab a lunch with him and well I have no choice so I joined him.

"Akala ko ba sa cafeteria tayo kakain?" I asked when I noticed we're on our school's parking lot. He glanced at his wrist watch, "Maaga pa naman." he uttered before opening the door of his car and enter inside. I was left with no choice so I just agree.

We stop on a Japanese restaurant. Nauna akong pumasok sakaniya at saka humanap ng vacant table and luckily there's one near the window. Umupo na ako at hinintay na makapasok siya. The waiter held the menu table to me and asked what's my order.

"Okay lang po ba kung hintayin ko 'yung kasama ko?" I politely asked and she nodded. "Sige po, Ma'am. Just call me if you have your order." she said before leaving me.
