Chapter 4

After what happened last night I decided to step away from Devon. Hindi naman kami nagkakasama pero kailangan ko parin i distance yung sarili ko. I really wanted to know who the heck took those photos yesterday pero hindi nakikisama ang panahon dahil bukod sa umuulan someone is following me. I didn't know who he is but I don't care. I was about to go to the NBS to check the CCTV footage  but I noticed this guy  wearing a leather jacket and a beanie.
I try to walk normal but my legs can't cooperate. It's shaking.

"Aziel!" I almost praise Dwayne when I heard his voice though I don't like his presence he still save me. Dwayne always annoyed me when we were in grade 11 that's why I don't like him. "Hoy sandali" he said and almost run just to reach me but I didn't stop. I still continue to walk.

"Hey!" he said. I rolled my eyes. I stop and face him. He's panting and sweating. "What?" I asked and began to walked again but he stop me so I look at him and I frowned. I try to keep myself calm before I speak. "Dwayne, if that doesn't matter at all I have to go. I'm rushing to the bookstore" I said and left him but he just followed again.

"Exactly" he exclaimed. I raised an eyebrow and crossed my arms. I glanced at him but he just smirk that irritates me more. He get something from his bag and then gave it to me. My eyes widen as I saw that it's the book of The Alchemist. I was stuck in my place. I looked back and forth at him and at the book he was holding.

"Yuhoo!" he almost whispered and wave the book. "This is yours" he said and offer it to me. How did he say that it is mine 'e wala naman akong pinatagong libro o pinahiram. We're like stupids standing in the side of the pedestrian lane facing each other. Napakurap ako 'nang maalalang may nagmamanman pala sa'akin kanina kaya agad akong nag iwas ng tingin sakaniya.

"Aziel I'm rushing. Hindi pa ko nakapag advance reading sa research. I have to go" he said and drop the book in my hands. I was left stunned as my eyes caught Devon was about to passed where I was standing so I immediately walk and go to the 7e store but before I open the door he already push it. And I almost jump when I looked up at him our face was just inches away. Woaaah! That was too close Aziel!!!

"Thanks" I said. Mabilis akong pumasok ng store at nagtingin ng mga chocolates. We will have our recitation later so I need those. After I pay for my orders I decided to go to my room. May ilan na ang mga naroon at halos lahat ay nagrereview. I took the vacant chair and sit at the last row and plug in my earphones. I'm enjoying my music when Chi and Kylie came. Chi sit beside me while Kylie is next to her. After a couple of minutes our Philosophy teacher came and she just discussed about different kind of truths. We still have 20 minutes more after she checked our attendance and dismissed so I planned to sleep while waiting for our next class.

"Uy may chika kami" Kylie said and pull the chair in front of me. Sabi ko na nga ba 'e kanina palang bago dumating si Miss Calugay may gusto na  itong ikwento. So I just listened and open my chocolate drink at uminom.

"Break na sila Devon at Ryssi" she whispered. I almost cough of what Kylie said. Is this a sick joke? Paano naman sila magkakahiwalay? Tss. I don't believe. I just shrugged after I get over from coughing. Kylie's face was so disappointed after I shrugged. I heard Chi laughed.

"Hindi ka naniniwala 'no?"  Chi asked and I just nodded.  "They are too perfect. And I don't find any reason for them to separate or take a break." I answer and plugged my earphones but before I put them into my ears Kylie speak.

"Bobo totoo nga," she impatiently said. I held a deep breath and fake a smile. "So what would be the cause of their breakup?" I asked. They quiet for a moment. Baka nga LQ lang sila at masyadong maissue ang mga tao. At kung sakaling maghiwalay naman sila ay for sure magkakabalikan pa rin sila. For I know they been together for 2 years and legal at the same sides. Even our teachers are supporting and giving them advice so there's no reason to think about it.
