Chapter 2

The second day of school went smooth as usual we're just gonna introduce ourselves and sometimes our teachers are giving a short brief introduction about the topics. After Mr. Macaraeg's time we're now waiting for our next class which was the Research. Even we have the Practical Research 1 before we still got confused about this subject because our teacher is kind of terror. And speaking of, Mrs. Coleman entered our room. After we greet her she just look around and then write on the board.

"Hello Humss B, I am Mrs. Rodalyn Coleman, your Practical Research 2 teacher. I am half Filipino, half Indian. I graduated with three Bachelor's Degree and I'm Cum Laude so I am asking your big respect to me" she started. I am so disappointed with her introduction. Yes it is important to know that things but asking a respect from the students because you earned a three Bachelor's Degree? It's not appropriate. Everyone's deserves a respect so hindi niya na kailangan pang sabihin ang ganoong bagay dahil rerespetuhin naman talaga namin siya but as what she said nayayabangan tuloy ako sakaniya.

"What is Research?" she asked. Agad kaming nagkatinginan at sabay sabay na tumungo. She said she's Cum Laude and I know that she's expecting too much ga'non naman talaga di'ba?

"Hindi niyo alam?" disappointed na tanong niya. "How many outstanding students are their in your class?" muli ay tanong niya. Somebody answered that they are 10. She look around again and starts to walk around our room. "Who got the 10th place?" she asked and Cheska raised her hand.

"What is Research?" she asked and I saw how Cheska almost die in confusion. Cheska just shake her head when Mrs. Coleman look at her. Lahat ng outstanding ay tinanungan niya hanggang sa umabot na ito kay Alodia. She got the first spot in our whole strand.

"Do you have any idea about what is Research?" Alodia nodded and stand before giving her opinion. "Research is a careful study or it may be defined as a scientific investigation of a phenomena."

"Next question, what are the benefits of research? Any volunteer." she said. Chi raised her hand and stands up.

"To gain information, Mrs. Coleman" she answered and Mrs. Coleman just nodded. "What more?" she asked again. Sunod na nagtaas ng kamay si Kylie "Analyze specific case" she answered.

"How about you Miss, do you have any idea?" she asked. I automatically look at my back to see if she's asking about me or the others but there was no student in my back. So I stand and point my self questioningly and she just nodded again.

"To g-gather data?" I answered.

"You're not sure with your answer?" tanong niya saakin. Almost all of my classmates are now staring at me so I slowly nodded.

"The next time we have a session make sure you have a bunch of ideas about our topic. To be honest you should be in second year college now but all of you still didn't know what was the exact definition of research. It was so disappointing." she madly said.

"Submit your index card to me and don't forget that before you enter this class make sure to bring your brains not your beauty!" she said before leaving our room.

"Pakipasa ang index card sa'akin. Salamat" Alodia announced. After we submit everyone go out.

"Okay ka lang?" Kylie asked and sit beside me. I just nodded and start to arrange my things. Inaya ko na silang bumaba pagkatapos ko mag ayos ng gamit. This was a bad day for me. Hindi ako sanay mapahiya sa klase dahil nag aaral naman akong mabuti but I didn't expect na magtatanong agad si Mrs. Coleman saamin ng ganoon. I know na napag aralan na namin ang mga questions niya before but I have no stock knowledge. Kahit naman 'yung mga outstanding students na mga classmates ko di nakasagot 'e so maybe I should accept the fact na hindi lang ako ang napahiya and I should study next time.

"Aziel look si Devon makakasalubong natin!" Kylie exclaimed. Gulat ko siyang nilingon dahil sa lakas ng boses niya. Even Devon knows that I liked him nahihiya pa rin ako sakaniya. So I was about to ignore him when he glance at me and leave a smile before we cross our paths. Agad akong napatakip ng bibig at impit na tumili sa sobrang saya.

"Alelelele. Feeling ko talaga may gusto din si Devon sa'yo" Kylie said and I rolled my eyes. How can he likes me when she's so damn in love with her girlfriend. Pero sana nga totoo nalang.

"Devon is loyal to Ryssi so stop imagining things Kylie" I sadly said but their was inside of me wishing that it was true. Tumawa nalang si Kylie sa sinabi ko at saka na kami tuluyang bumaba.

Devon and Ryssi are one of the famous couple in the University. Even the teachers know about it at suportado nila ang mga ito. They are both intelligent, talented and syempre magada at gwapo. I remember how I supported Devon during his game. Kahit mainit nanunuod pa rin ako at sobrang worth it panuorin dahil sobrang galing niya talaga. During their break nakatayo lang siya sa gilid kasama ang mga teammates niya. Nakapamewang ito habang hinihingal. Even if I wanted to catch up with him I didn't make a move. Nahihiya naman kasi ako at isa pa ay ayaw kong umepal.

"Aziel mauna na kami ni Chi" Kylie said. Hindi ko namalayang nasa parking lot na pala kami. I just nodded and wait for kuya Marlon. Dumiretso muna ako sa cafe para doon nalang maghintay. I was heading the exit way 'nung matanaw ko si Devon papasok ng entrance gate mag isa niya lang at may mga dala itong pagkain na for sure ay ibibigay niya kay Ryssi. They both really lucky having each other. Madaming nag a-admire ng relationship nilang dalawa dahil nga sobrang sweet nila.

Minsan nga nakasabayan namin silang mag lunch and I can't stop watching them both na para lang silang magtropa na nagbibiruan. 'Yung iba kasi nagkakahiyaan sa personal pero sila? Sobrang close nila to the point that they almost look the same.

When I reach the cafe I ordered chocolate cappuccino and check my phone. Kuya Marlon is already there so after I payed my order I rush to the parking lot. Kuya Marlon is not good at waiting kaya kapag natagalan ako sa pagbalik ay isusumbong niya ako kay Daddy.

"Si Aiver po nasundo na?" I asked without looking at him. Nahagip kasi ng mata ko si Devon at para itong magnet na hindi na maalis. Ghaad! How to uncrush this man?

"Nasundo na ng Daddy mo" he answered. Agad nanlaki ang mata ko sa sinabi niya. So my Dad is here? Pero bakit hindi na ako sinabay? Tss. Bakit ko pa ba tinatanong ang sarili ko 'e alam ko naman na pala ang sagot. Of course he only care about his favorite son. Simula kasi 'nang maipanganak ni Mama si Aiver hindi na ako napapansin ni Daddy simply because his attention was with Aiver only. Pero kahit ga'non pa man ay hindi ko magawang magalit sa kapatid ko.
I was about to get in the car when someone cleared his throat in my back. I made a shift and face him. Agad bumilis ang tibok ng puso ko ng mapagtantong si Devon i'yon.

"Aziel right?" he smoothly asked. This was the first time he mentioned my name. His voice is like an angel for heaven's sake!!! I simply nodded.

"You left this in the cafe and the crew just asked me to returned it back to you. I saw you rushing here." he said and bit his lower lip. Para akong kinakapusan ng hangin sa katawan sa mga titig niya.

"Hey!" then he tapped my shoulder. My eyes widen and I noticed I was stunned again. Agad kong kinuha ang binder sa kamay niya at mabilis na sumakay ng kotse. I still saw his reflection on the window at nakakunot ang mga noo niya. Bago pa makasakay si kuya Marlon sa driver seat I immediately open the car window.

"H-hi. I just wanna say thank you" I said and forced a smile. He just nodded but before I close the window I clearly heard him said —

"Okay. Keep safe."
