The first week of class was great because of Devon as well. Lagi ko kasi siya nakakasalubong sa University. It was Sunday today so after we attend the mass I decided to go to the bookstore.
"Daddy, can I go on-
"Yes." he said without letting me finish. Ganiyan naman lagi si Dad tuwing may kausap sa phone, mas priority niya ang mga clients niya.
I immediately took a cab at saka bumaba ng bookstore. I just went around and looked for new books when I saw the book of Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist. I always run out of copy so I quickly grab the remaining when suddenly someone also try to get it. I was still shocked knowing who he was. It was as if I had swallowed my own tongue.
"It's okay. You got it first." he said. I immediately felt embarrassed kaya agad kong itinapat sakaniya ang libro. He frowned. I just shrugged.
"For Ryssi?" I asked. He just shook his head. Maybe he's just shy on telling me so I just nodded. Again, I put the book back in its place and started walking. Madami pa namang sigurong pagkakataon para makabili ako 'non. Sad but it's okay.
"Aziel!" suddenly someone called me. Nilingon ko ang pinanggalingan ng boses I was surprised to see Chi carrying a bundle of books.
"Anong book 'yan?" I asked.
"He's Into Her" she answered. My eyes widened at agad akong napalapit sakaniya. I was about to look at each book when my phone suddenly rang. I was annoyed when I saw my Dad's calling. I just waved to Chi before answering the call and left the bookstore.
"Yes, Daddy" I answered politely. I have a fear of calls especially when it's my Dad. He rarely calls and that is when you do something bad so I was nervous.
"Aziel saang lupalop ng bookstore kana ba nakapunta?" he asked that made me shivered. His voice is not mad but the way he asked is making me frightened. Kinalma ko muna ang sarili ko bago sumagot.
"I-I'm just waiting a cab" I lied. I heard him let out a deep breath. I'm trembling in fear but I was even more surprised when he dropped the call so I rush on looking for a cab and immediately get in. Pagdating ko sa tapat ng supermarket ay natanaw ko na sila Mama at si Dad na ngayon ay nakatingin sa relo niya. I tried to calm myself before I come near them. After a couple of minutes I started walking.
"Dad, I'm so-
"Let's go" he cut me off. My Mom just tap my shoulder and forced a smile. I just bite my lower lip to stop myself from crying. Pagkasakay ko sa backseat I put on my earphones and just listened to the songs on my playlist.
With my beautiful opm playlist I fell asleep. Nagising nalang ako 'nung makarating kami sa bahay. Agad akong bumaba at mabilis na pumasok sa loob. I know Dad will scold me for what happened earlier and I don't want to feel bad for him. Yes, I hate him. Not because of Aiver but because he has another family. How dare him hide it from us ang kapal ng mukha niya!
I shut the door of my room and locked it. I just throw myself in the bed and try to relax when I heard a few knocks on the door but I didn't bother to stand up. Gusto ko lang ipahinga 'yung utak ko dahil kailangan ko mag advance reading sa mga subjects ko. Ayoko na ulit mapahiya sa klase. Masyado na akong disappointed sa sarili ko so what more pa kaya sila Mama at Daddy.
"Aziel" mama's voice. Even though I'm lazy I still stood up to open the door. Bumungad sa'akin si mama na may dalang tray ng pagkain. I just turned around.
"I have no appetite" I said and went to the bathroom. I switched on the shower and let the water flow in my body. Pagkatapos ko maligo ay nagbihis na ako at nagsimulang mag review. I connect my laptop to the wifi and search those words that was unfamiliar to me. When I finished the outline I quickly check my social media. Agad nanlaki ang mata ko nang makitang nag send ng friend request si Bonjour Iris sa'akin. Siya kasi ang pinakamasungit na lalaki sa classroom namin kaya seryoso ba 'to?
"Aziel open the door!" I quickly closed my laptop without shutting it down. My heart is like a circus. I felt nervous again. Sigurado akong sasabunin nanaman niya ako. I let out a few sighs before opening the door.
"D-dady" I frowned at him but deep inside my knees were shaking with nervous. He glared at me kaya napaatras ako. I noticed he looked around my room and look at me again. I know his moved. Kabisado ko na si Daddy at alam kong naghihinala siya.
"A-are you suspecting me?" lakas loob kong tanong. He glared at me again as if he was reading my mind. Ito kasi ang unang beses na nagtanong ako sakaniya without hesitation. He held a deep breath and I'm sure na kalmado na siya but it went wrong. He just threw a pictures to my face then came out my room. I clinched my fist and try to keep my self calm before picking up the photos he threw on my face.
My jaw drop when I saw the pictures. My chest was pounding so hard and I felt like I was stuck in my position. Kaya ba galit si Dad sa'akin? Pero sino naman ang nagbigay sakaniya ng mga litrato na 'to?
I was just wandering around my room while thinking when I suddenly remembered who the stupid gave the pictures to Dad. 'Yung dalawang litrato namin ni Devon ay sa parking lot, 'yung pangalawa naman ay sa bookstore. So my suspect for the two photos which was in the parking lot is obviously it's kuya Marlon. Lagi naman kasi itong nagsusumbong kay Dad kahit hindi naman totoo. But who took the photo at the bookstore? Owemjiii.
