Look After You - Sequel - Jack Grealish

Fourty One.

"Are you nervous?" Mason asked as Alexa and him lay on the sofa in the board room, Mason had an interview with some of the press and Alexa was supposed to be organising the items in the board room, but they found themselves lying on the sofa avoiding their adult jobs.

"A little" Alexa stated, as she sat up cross legged on the sofa, Mason doing the same. "I just can't believe you have a little person inside you" Mason smiled, as Alexa shook her head laughing. "They're not a little person Mase" Alexa teased, as Mason rolled his eyes at her.

"Have you heard from Ben?" Alexa questioned. It was name she had been thinking about a lot lately, they'd never fell out to this extent, and she didn't even realise he had the feelings he had until Declan has blabbed his mouth to her, and now she was torn, overthinking everything.

"I've heard bits, it's a shame his not here" Mason smiled, but when he saw Alexa's face he knew there was more to it. "Why? What's up?" Mason questioned, as Alexa shrugged her shoulders.

"I think I broke his heart without even realising" Alexa mumbled, as Mason chuckled to himself, causing Alexa to raise an eyebrow at him in a questioning glance.

"What do you mean?" Mason chuckled, as Alexa groaned and pulled her fingers through her hair. "Dec said that I had two people pining for me, and the last messages me and Ben exchanged id much rather forget" Alexa stated, as Mason nodded his head.

"Ben always thought he would get you, he always thought in another place or another time maybe you'd happen, but he knew you never wanted him like that, that you were purely platonic" Mason stated, as Alexa nodded her head.

"So why do I feel so guilty?" Alexa questioned, as Mason looked at her with a small smile. "Because you care about people a lot more than you should, and that includes their opinions of you and them, and you shouldn't live your life that way" Mason stated.

"As much as I hate that Jack gave into an urge and slept with someone else, as much as I want to hate him for that, I can't Lex" Mason huffed, as Alexa looked at her brother, and he somewhat looked sad, he looked tired.

"He cares about you Lex, I mean, if you could see everything that I see from being with him, you'd understand that he cares, and that isn't me just saying it, me and Jack have never seen eye to eye, but he does care" Mason stated, as he let his hands rest on his thigh.

"What do you mean, see the things that you do?" Alexa questioned, as Mason smirked to himself. "You'll see one day, when you let him back in, you'll see that you never really lost him" Mason smiled, as he stood up at the sound of people walking down the hallway. "Plus, aren't you supposed to be meeting Daddy to go and see my nephew" Mason smirked, as Alexa rolled her eyes. "Niece or nephew" Alexa corrected him. "Nope, it's my nephew" Mason smirked, as he hopped up from the sofa and walked across the boardroom, meeting the media at the door. "I'll see you later" Mason smiled. "Good luck"

"Did you know they the gel is supposed to be really cold" Alexa mumbled, as Jack raised an eyebrow at her. "I know we ain't got a lot to say but we ain't gotta talk about the tummy gel" Jack chuckled as Alexa rolled her eyes.

"Okay, so tell me why you did it" Alexa stated, as Jack smiled at her. "I'd never not go and see my baby Lex, I might be a dick but I ain't heartless" Jack stated, as Alexa shook her head. "I meant why did you sleep with Sasha" Alexa stated, her voice was calm, and just above a whisper, but he heard the wording from her mouth, and he knew there was no way out of this one.

"I wasn't thinking, well I was, I was thinking like the old Jack" Jack started, but he knew he had to handle this like an adult, and in a sensitive way.

"I found out after I told ya that I didn't even sleep with her, that Sasha had tried her hardest to sleep with me all night, but I was really drunk, I let myself go I missed ya and that isn't an excuse, god I should of never have gone if she was there" Jack muttered, as he ran a hand through his hair. "I should of made sure that ya was by my side that day, my pride and joy, the only person I ever wanted there" Jack muttered, and for a moment Alexa swore she could see the tears in his eyes, and by the crack in his voice or the lump in his throat she knew he was telling the truth.

"Why didn't you tell me the truth?" Alexa whispered, as she looked over at him, a pain filling her chest with how broken he really looked.
"I knew that ya probably deserved better than the playboy footballer, I love you Lex, I really do, but sometimes in life ya have to let it go don't ya, and if they come back they're really yours to keep" Jack stated, as the car stopped, and both of the young adults got out.

"If ya don't want me in there I don't have to come, I just wanted to feel like I was involved but I realise ya probably don't want me in there with ya" Jack mumbled, as they walked into the private room, Alexa shaking her head at his words.

"I want you here Jack" Alexa stated, as she watched the million dollar smile move on his face, and for a moment, the Jack she had fell for was back, even if it was just for a moment.

And just like that, Alexa was lay with her shirt pushed up and the cold gel on her stomach as a midwife began to move the monitor over her stomach, a loud thumping filling the air, as Alexa held a hand to her mouth.

"That's the heartbeat ain't it" Jack smiled, as the midwife and Alexa nodded their heads.
"A healthy baby, a beautiful baby at that" the midwife smiled, as Alexa finally let a tear roll down her cheeks, the reality of everything setting in.

"Thats our baby" Alexa whispered.

Just a quick one, I hope you've liked the updates over the past couple of days, I guess I found the want to write again.. but, unfortunately I'm back in work as of tomorrow so updates might drop slightly.
