"So you're girlfriends stunning" Phil chuckled to Jack, as Jack smiled at his friend. "I know, dunno how I got so lucky" Jack smiled, as they continued to do the work with the resistant bands.

"May of had to follow her on the socials" Phil smirked, as the smile fell from Jacks face, he couldn't tell if this way joking banter, or if this was Phil making a comment about his girlfriend.

"Jack is smitten" John laughed, as he sat down next to Jack, Raheem following them with a smile on his face. "Wish I'd of been at camp now, never though I'd see the day you got tied down" Phil laughed, as John looked at Jack and realised that Jack wasn't laughing with him anymore.

"Jack and Alexa are a good couple, it's nice to see their both happy" John smiled, as Raheem nodded his head agreeing. "And she makes some banging cakes" Raheem laughed. "It's not the only thing that's banging though" Phil smirked, and that was all it took for Jack to walk away.

Usually he wouldn't, usually he would fight and start an argument. But something inside him told him that he was better than that, and better than playground gossip, he got to go home to Alexa when he wanted, he was the one she wanted and deep down that's all that mattered now.

"Ignore Phil bro, his just sour that he didn't end up at camp" Kyle smiled, as Jack nodded his head, more focused on the keepy uppys he was doing.

"I know, it's just, my whole life I've been labelled the playboy or the fuckboy, it's just nice to think that I have someone who sees past that, someone who actually gets me, ya know?" Jack muttered, as Lule nodded his head. "I know, I get it" Kyle smiled.

"At least someone does" Jack mumbled, he was still letting everything flash around his head, like a mother talking down to their child, or someone who constantly had to have the last word, until he sighed to himself and kicked the ball on the valve, watching as it soared through the air and hit the top bins of the goal, a small smile on his face when he realised what he had done.

"Remind me not to get on the wrong side of you" Kyle laughed, as John clasped a hand to his shoulder. "Heading down to the gym, you coming?" John questioned, as Kyle nodded his head, looking at his team mates that were heading down in that direction.

"I'll be there in a minute" Jack stated, as he kicked at the ground with his shoes, John and Kyle nodding, accepting that he probably didn't want to talk right now, they knew he had gone from his hometown club to a bigger name with a hefty price above his name, and that was daunting for anyone, let alone leaving everything you knew behind at the same time.

Jack pulled his phone from his pocket, smiling at the messages he had received from his family about his first few training sessions, and how proud they was of him, and it somewhat made him feel content, like he had finally made it, but it wasn't long before his fingers had clicked her contact and the phone was ringing.

"Hey babe" Alexa's voice chimed through the phone. "Shouldn't you be at training?" She chuckled, and Jack felt his stomach do flips, he knew he was in deep, he knew they said that they loved each other, but he didn't know what that meant till he heard her laugh down the phone and just wished he was near her to hear it in person.

"Yeah, just taking a break" Jack smiled, as his eyes scanned around the training pitch, he was alone, and for once during his time at Man City he felt like he belonged, and he belonged more in the quiet, not the heat and the buzz.

"Are you having a good day?" Alexa questioned, as Jack bit on his lip, could he even tell her that he missed Bodymoor Heath and the way that the grass felt beneath his boots, or how the air smelt cleaner there than it did here, or would she think that he was insane for not understanding the opportunity he had been given.

"It's not home is it" Jack mumbled, as he heard Alexa place down whatever she had been holding, as she spoke softly.

"Sometimes you have to make a big sacrifice to see the potential inside" Alexa stated, as Jack smiled to himself, he didn't need to know what it meant, he didn't even know himself if he knew truly what it meant, but it meant a lot to know that Alexa tried her best to comfort him, even being miles apart.

"I wish ya was here Lex, it just makes everything seem better" Jack breathed, as he ran a hand through his hair. "Sometimes everything seems so wild and big and ya ground me" Jack continued, as he heard Alexa breathe on the other end of the phone.

"I just think maybe this was too big a move" Jack mumbled. "Hey, you're getting in your own head, just breath and take a moment, you're the biggest signing to date, that's going to be hard sometimes" Alexa replied.

"And everything hard in life always has a true meaning, and you're going to see that when you play,
I promise you" Alexa spoke with a smile, and even though Jack couldn't see her, he knew she was smiling, he knew her well enough now.

"And it's going to be hard being away from each other, we lived together for a month, we will just have to get used to it" Alexa finished, as Jack let out a sigh, nodding his head.

"I know doll, I just miss ya" Jack whispered, as he heard Alexa laugh to herself. "I'd miss me too, now go and show them why you're the hundred million signing, make me proud" Alexa smiled, as Jack chuckled to himself.

"Always doll, always"
